I think bedford is right, he's missed two out of the last four, whats your problem with that. How can you count the Fremantle game if he played the next two games?

White is a 24 yo who played 55 games in his career and was taken at #79 in the 2006 draft.
Watts turned 21 in late March has played 45 games and was pick 1 in the 2008 draft.
Both are @196cm, White is 16kg heavier.
Watts averages 6 more disposals and 2 more marks per game.
Both average @ 1 goal a game.
A swap is never going to happen and indeed even if it were Watts has never really looked comfortable as a KPF in the AFL, something Dermott Brereton hinted at prior to Watts drafting.
I'd also point out that in Martin, Fitzpatrick & Sellar Melbourne already have hybrid ruck/fwds.
Try Jesse and a first rounder. And Melbourne still probably wouldn't accept.
Of course you count it , he's missed 2 out of the last 4 !How can you count the Fremantle game if he played the next two games?

I was at the Freo game and watched him after the game to a one hour session with Hanners, now that has happened again, all in the space of 4 weeks. Now what player would be happy with that and thats why there should be 3 interchange and 2 subs.
Good Analysis - thanks for that. You have a pretty fair point...
What if we added Jarred Moore. Jarred Moore is a senior player, a leader, a good footy brain and tough as nails and is exactly what Melbourne would need. He would also get some game time. If we gave them both for Watts... thoughts?
(Saying that, I like all our players and I wish we could keep all our players and give them all game time - get some what attached to them!)
Underrating Watts imo. Talls always take time and he is a much better footballer than both players. Watts' stats aren't similar to White but Watts has played more time in the middle.I wouldn't swap Bulldog for Watts, Bulldog is agreat clubman and is running around coaching the ressies from on the field. If Watts stats only match Whites, and White can't get a game, why would we want him?

Melbourne wouldn't even consider Moore and White.
I have no doubt that if White had've played saturday night we would've won, he would've been worth at least 1 goal whilst lrt wasnt worth 1 point.
I wont be going this week if the club doesnt sellect white, to me it would be a massive error once again.
Goodes wont play, so that means reid will keep his spot undeservedly so, but we have no choice.
cant play morton he's not hard enough, maybe tdl or gordon..
You can't replace Goodes with TDL. Gordon maybe to small as well. So it will either be White/Walsh/Goodes depending on ruck choices.so outs- lrt goodes
ins- white, tdl-gordon(tdl isnt hard enough also)
Kennelly had some good games his last season, but yes was finished come the end. LRT is still serviceable in the ruck depending on who we are playing/cover for our backmen.seaby-white worked ok against port and north... lrt is finished, just like kennelly was- so that means he'll play on old glory days/
let me have it now guys-girls
I agree.
seems rational
Reid keeps his spot based on structure, drawing 2 defenders and until Thursday hadn't trained properly for weeks. He will be fine. With Goodes out as you said, we have no option to retain him regardless.
Are you calling Morton a squib?

I think your an emotion based decision maker, and I'm glad you arn't our selection committee
sounds like you would tear up your membership card if white was traded reidfactor. am i correct?
I tore up my membership card when we delisted Luke Vogels.
