I bought this puzzle this afternoon as a bit of retail therapy - only 500 pieces but I'm sure it'll be challenging

Good luck.

It’s funny how different we all are in terms of what interests us. I like to put together a detailed colourful scene, like on the previous page. Others just like the challenge of finding the right piece out of hundreds that all look similar.

Two years ago a friend gave me one of a leopard, basically two colours surrounded by black. It’s still in its wrapper somewhere.

But you would probably enjoy it 🙂

I like a variety of styles of puzzle

When I'm buying scenic ones, I tend to favour places I've traveled to and then use the puzzle as bit of a memento

At the moment I've been working on a set of 3 optical illusion puzzles that are somewhat monochrome - they're 500 pieces each but were cheap from Kmart on clearance. The first one went together pretty well until the last dozen pieces which seemed interchangeable making it annoying

I've then got a few really brightly coloured ones to work on

My 7 year old has been working through the puzzles in the house. He did a 63 piece, 100 piece and 150 piece on his own. We just did a 500 piece Alice in Wonderland Ravensburger that was relatively easy because of all the colours and images. He wants to do a white cat on white background 500 piece one thinking it will be as easy. It's 50 shades of white, **** that.

We gave this a go. The puzzle was fun and is different to the box. The puzzles inside the puzzle, holy moly, very hard, needed the tips/solution to work it out. Would probably try another one now we know the idea behind it

Took a couple of photos of previously completed puzzles before packing them up to start something new

The optical illusion one isn't the best quality puzzle & the fit with some of the all black section wasn't the cleanest - but the bigger frustration was that the image on the front of the box was a cropped version of the full puzzle, while the image on the back was a tiny version as it also showed the 2 other images in the series

This is a Rubik's puzzle, "only" 200 pieces and there's only 3 piece shapes in the puzzle - they're either corners, edges or inside. Once it starts to come together it gets easier, and sometimes it's about taking a step back to look at it from more of a distance than up close to see how the pieces align

Blue Opal - first time doing this brand

It's the following puzzle and currently unsure how it'll impact but there's no full picture of the final image as both the front & back of the box have the image partiality covered & no poster 🙁

How did you go with it? The Titanic one is still sitting in the top of the wardrobe in my spare room.

I finished sorting the puzzle into edges, and what then looked like it would be land versus sea/ocean etc, and those sections then got bagged individually to be put back in the box

I'm not sure if the person before me even did the puzzle or simply opened it before moving it on as it was full of puzzle dust (more than I've got in a new puzzle), plus at least a couple of pieces that clearly didn't fit with the style of the puzzle - so I opted to put it aside as I lost interest in it

I've moved on to this now, 1000 pieces all with at least 1 straight side. When I opened the bag I quickly found a corner piece which was actually a corner piece so I thought awesome, corners are corners but I've now found there's internal corner pieces

It's a nice feeling puzzle though, can tell the quality of the pieces & the fit is good - but it may be a slightly time consuming one

I've completed one similar before - interestingly with this one, the pieces were varying sizes with larger pieces at the bottom through to smaller at the top which helped with putting it together

I've got this one with no edge pieces.

I also had The Land of Wallys which was chucked after a few pieces got lost.
