The matter can't end unless Essendon supporters support Cotchin and Mitchell getting the Brownlow? What a load of horse apple, mate. What any group of supporters think about this doesn't matter a jot. What will happen, will happen, regardless of what someone on the Internet says.

Personally I have no strong feeling on the matter either way, there are arguments for either outcome. Doesn't ultimately affect me though, so I don't really care.

I actually think the players were complicit in the saga.

But thats history. Served their time. Medal returned.

If you remember, Essendon were punished for poor housekeeping in 2013 because they didn't have the records of what they gave the players with those particular injections. I doubt the players would know if the club doesn't know themselves.

Just interesting that not one of them remembered that they had been injected, yet not one of them has been able to come up with a reason. If it were as you have suggested, they would have used that. However, all we here when ever asked, which hasn't been often as the media seems very AFL compliant, is a vague and confused "I can't explain".

what a load of nauseating crap ive been reading over past 24 hours. So someone finally convinced Watson to get his PED enhanced grip off the medal and hand it back. Thats what everyone was waiting for - the AFL included. they were giving the clown a chance to not have it ripped from around his neck as was the only possible thing that could ever happen. You cant cop a 12 mth ban and hang on to any booty you scammed during the period you offended - come on!

Now when he finally gets it through his thick skull that he has no choice - all this faux gnashing of teeth about how this "model citizen" has been wronged.

I don't think most want any more. They just don't want AFL and Essendon Propaganda to continue to push the line that he is some type of honourable hero for being a drug cheat and then ungraciously hanging on to his ill gotten medal until the last moment.

Like a Ghandi? He handed it back, which is what people have been calling for all along. You can argue all you want that he jumped before he was pushed, but ultimately the end result is the same.

His statement was pretty simple and to the point.

Will be interesting to see if any players are up for Sledging Jobe.

Mitchell had no problems a couple of years ago. Would most likely put Jobe off his game.

Mack Horton had no problem sledging a Chinese swimmer and no one at the HS seems to have a problem with it. Guess there was no "Comfortable Doubt" associated with that one. Probably wasn't a great bloke either.

Interesting to see the Herald Essendon Sun begin it's campaign to stop Mitchell and Cotchin being awarded their medal.
