Young 17 year old, year 12 student playing league football for Sturt.

I havent seen bugger all of Sturt this year so dont no much about him. Is not in the Under 18's squad so i assume he isnt eligible to be drafted this year.

Can anyone tell me more about his eligibility and how well he will rank come draft time whether thats this year or next.

I am sure he is 18 in jul this year so he should be able to be drafted if he nominates
has played twice so far and has looked very good, composed and a nice booming left foot

The problem is he was cut from the Under 18's squad not to long ago so wont go to the carnival.
So if he is eligible this year which by the sounds of it he is, the chances of him getting drafted full stop are pretty slim.

Don't bet on it. The selectors have made a glarring ommision in not picking him in the Under 18 team. If they had any sense, he'd be thrown in at this late stage.

He will go on and show what he can do in Sturt's League side and the AFL clubs will be climbing over themselves to draft him. Wait and see.

Spoke to Brenton Phillips today. He is eligible this season. They are having a look at him this weekend and is apparently still a chance to get a gig a the carnival.

just read on another site that he is a late call up to the squad
he should have been there from the start

Unfortunately he was one of the boys cut at the last moment from the SA Under 18 squad for disciplinary reasons.
