Why do our supporters constantly post this stuff on the main board (Reid, Dawes, Rusling), than belittle anyone that doesn't have a positive comment.

Anthony is a raw developing player with a lovely kick, nothing more.

Good mark, quick, agile, and good user - doesn't get enough lead up ball as a forward - yet.

Is a good youngster. With a bit more experience, could potentially be a handy 50+ a season goal-kicker. Add that with Cloke (around 50) and then the other tall forward (Rocca, Dawes, Rusling) kicking 40, then that's a pretty handy combination. 140 goals for the year from 3 talls - 7 a game. Add in Medhurst (30-40), Thomas (20-30), Didak (20-30), Davis (20-30) and thats 110 goals for the season, 5.5 goals a game, giving 12.5 goals a game from those mentioned. Add another 4-5 goals from whoever and that's 17 goals a game. That sot of return usually yields around 120 points in total, which would most of win you a game of football.

Promising stuff in theory.

Fairly handy draft for Collingwood in 05', Thomas at 2, Pendlebury at 5 & Jack Tony at 37. Another draft where Collingwood have smoked Carlton.
Another draft?

A shame you can't smoke us on the field with all this talent. :)

You really beat us with the 2004, 2006 and 2007 drafts.

I think the 2005 draft worked out well when we came out with Murphy, Bower and Judd via drafting Kennedy.

A shame we couldn't draft Cook and Stanley who have exquisite skills.

How am I crying?

He brought up a player from my team that no one has mentioned and criticized him because I didn't say Anthony was a superstar.
You wouldn't cry when you drafted a better talent than Anthony in Jay Neagle.

But he receives less attention because putting his mug in the Hun won't sell papers to the intellects who follow the Pies.
He's kicked 24.3?

That's phenominally accurate.
Kreuzer has kicked 13.1 and ten straight before he kicked a point.

From being a face no-one knew and getting an alcoholic beverage chucked on him by superstar Lance Franklin who didn' know him, Jon Anthony has become a cult figure down at Collingwood and has been very impressive in his debut season. Was developed as a defender but has been played in the forward line where he has kicked an incredibly accurate 24.3. I know this joke has been done to death but surely Lance Franklin would love to turn back time and get some goalkicking tips of this dead eye dick rather than being rude and obnoxious.

Great to here what are other peoples views of Jon Anthony are.

haha this is hilarious. yes im a collingwood supporter but i've heard many stories on what kind of person anthony is. it wouldnt surprise me if anthony was provoked franklin by just being himself.

4/6. That is a smoking in anyone's language..

Enjoy the draft, that is all your tainted club has to look for wheras the likes of Thomas, Pendles & co contribute to another September campaign!

Jack or John?

Whats his actual name?

I hear some commentators introduce him as jack and others as John.

anyone know his actual name and the reason for the other?

Jon Anthony will be a handy defender... plugging a hole in '08 left by Rocca and Reid in particular. I guess the question is whether her will stay in the forward line, he's a great kick for goal... and in defense he could play a role similar to Clement.

In the coming years though I think Dawes and Cloke will be too slow to be both in the forward line at the same time. I feel Cloke will lose pace when his body full matures.
