This is from the Herald Sun article - teams specifically mentioned are GWS, Collingwood & North:

Hawthorn forward Jonathon Patton has been stood down by the club as it investigates claims he shared lewd images with women.

It comes as a growing number of women have detailed what they say was inappropriate behaviour by Patton and called for a cultural overhaul among AFL players...

...One Melbourne woman, who said Patton sent her lewd and inappropriate messages, posted a poll on Instagram asking if others had similar experiences.

“I thought it would be bad, but I didn’t realise how many people had been affected,’’ she said. “I feel like footballers get away with this and it needs to stop. I’ve spoken to at least 10 others directly who have shared similar experiences of being sent random photos, inappropriate messages and videos of w...ing.

“In that culture (of AFL) they turn a blind eye to it.”

Another girl, Megan, said Patton was contacting her before his former club, Greater Western Sydney, played in the 2019 Grand Final, as did others in the team...

...Another girl, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Patton sent crude sexual innuendos over messages but that it was not unusual behaviour among AFL players.

“We’ve had a few run-ins with Collingwood boys and the North Melbourne boys have a shocking record,’’ she said.

I'd imagine investigations would be quite difficult and the only way of corroborating evidence is through people coming forward and taking that at face value considering the girls would likely not have the photos or videos on hand since they'd either delete it immediately or it'd be sent over snapchat/facetime.

Unlikely to be any club that would have no players sending dick pics

It is not a bad thing that this is popping up and might gain some momentum. Its time that sending unsolicited sexualised pics is seen as wrong, and there can be consequences

It's way easier for a second person to come out knowing they're less likely to receive comments along the lines of "she was asking for it"

I suspect the "investigation" will take place whether the afl want it to or not, simply by others going to the media

I'd almost guarantee a lot of them would have screenshotted it to show their mates for a laugh that they got it from <insert AFL player name>.

Somebody must've have known something at recruitment level? This is 2021 and although we don't like the way the world is at the moment, you hvae no hope of keeping this stuff out of the media.... who really rule the world!

Not a surprise. Realistically, online social media and messaging has blown up out of nowhere. As kids and teenagers, they weren't taught about the dangers and how much of a real world impact things online can have. It's why cyber bullying is so common. It is largely common sense but some just don't take the Internet and what they post seriously enough.

Footballers aren't exactly a smart bunch generally speaking and a bit of fame would for sure make them feel invincible, especially when they're just behind a screen.

I'm not sure how schools and education handles it now, but you'd hope they drill in how to behave and conduct yourself online.

Of course not, but he'll keep trying because it will keep working every now and then.

This is sometimes were women need to turn to each each other hold each other account, rather than focus it all on the men doing it. They do it because sometimes its what your friends, your sisters, you whoever, like.

Going back many years to my young, single and stupid days I was slightly inebriated one night out and for some reason thought that sending a naked selfie photo to someone (taken a few weeks earlier) where I zoomed in would retain the zoom and crop out my lower half. Unfortunately it doesn't and said pic circulated to god knows where... it did very quickly get sent around to the group that night... :(

I remember years back someone I barely knew had seen the photo so sadly it did do the rounds afterwards.

Dear me, what a tool.
 
The guy running the investigation reminds me of that episode of south park, when some kids mum dies on the toilet because said kid left the seat up.

So now there are cameras in every bathroom and there are police monitoring the toilets and seat belts etc.

The guy watching the cameras just jerks off non stop
