So what were the facts?
Media run front page facts.
Bed wetting theory=BS
Female police officer admits=i just had a feeling
Police developed tunnel vision and couldnt accept other theories by respectable homicide detectives{which they werent qualified}
Blow to head was after strangulation,=inexperienced police and television shows said it was beforehand and done by brother,=wrong again.
District attorney tried to get Smits evidence sequested and hidden from all future hearings=ooops.
Local police did everything to stop Smits investigation and kept evidence and reports from him.=although they were all meant to be on same side.
Police missed, mislaid and failed to run a proper case from the time they entered the house.=fact
Police fed thier theories to the press hoping for{massive amounts of cameras outside of the house}the family to break down and admit the killing of thier daughter.
Detective that interviewed the son{as shown on many shows for the sons bad body language}stated during the interview he had no suspective feelings whatsoever about the boy.=In many rubbish fluff television shows the interview was portrayed as the son showing signs of guilt, although non of these gutter journalistic shows never interviewed the detective that was actually doing the interview.
DNA eveidence lifted of 2 seperate pieces of clothing match and unknown subject.
All in all,the show was done very professionally and showed how most people seem to garner thier opinion from trashy shows that bear no regard for honesty or fact.
There is a few people on this site that "jumped the gun" and should watch the show to get a real prospective on how real justice is meant to be served.
Some other facts,
Media and police reports said you couldnt get in the basement window=Smit walked over and casually slid in with no effort,he also found footprints, scuffmarks and vegetation trapped under the grill which showed it had been recently used.
No duct tape was found in the house except on the girls face.
The mother wasnt cold and unresponsive at the time{front page media news}The detective describbed her as wailing and cuddling her lost child{as expected}.
The so called hand writing theory is BS,no comparison from the family matched the note.
No footprints in the snow outside the house,=photographs showed there was no snow on the paths around the house that night.

  • The fact that the strangulation was done first points away from the family. I find it difficult to believe that they would do that to their own daughter without the need to cover for an accidental murder.

  • I would like to see the father talk about why he was mouthing the words for his wife to use during their first television interview.

  • I don't believe the hand writing similarities were debunked other than saying there is no competent expert willing to claim it was Patsy's writing.

  • It is really frustrating that one documentary can say that it was definitively a stun gun and another say it was definitively not a stun gun and was possibly a toy train track.

Last nights show never mentioned the pineapple eaten by Jon Benet and how it got there if she was asleep in the car when they arrived home.

Why would a kidnapper spend 25 odd minutes writing a ransom note only to kill the girl in the house.

How did she not scream when stunned by the gun.

Why was Burke's voice heard on the 911 call when he hadn't left his bedroom.

I think John Ramsey has given answers to these questions previously. He believes the person was in the home whilst the Ramsey's were at a Christmas gathering with friends. This gave the the would be kidnapper time to write the note. She did not scream because she had duct tape over her mouth.

They avoided the pineapple issue because it didn't fit with the idea that she went to bed immediately. Looks like they hadn't thought their story through enough and are stuck arguing that they know nothing about the pineapple. It was absolutely impossible to say what was on the 911 recording, certainly wasn't what the earlier documentary said it was.

She did not scream because she had duct tape over her mouth.

Though this is not consistent with a claim made that there was no tongue imprint on the duct tape ie she died before the tape was applied and therefor did not struggle against it. This would point to a staged crime scene.

Admittedly I'm late to this but hasn't this theory pretty much nailed it?

https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/true-murder-most-shocking/id393525078?mt=2

- early days of the internet and there was a hugely lucrative trade in child pornography

- pageant photographers ran sideline businesses producing and selling child pornography, huge sums of money available for them and parents

- basically a "photo shoot" in the basement

- stun gun used for extreme shots involving garrotting etc, which are in demand

- something has gone wrong and the child has been killed

- grand jury sat for 13 months and had its entire report sealed forever. Only 4 paragraphs have been released... the Ramsey were not to be indicted for murder but were to be indicted for putting JB in the situation that led to her death, and did help to cover it up

- huge case that goes to the whole pageant scene / child pornography

All whilst the family slept?

What do you mean?

lees was targeted by murdoch because she took an offer from a rival to tell her story and that nearly changed the case. Oj did it and got off, corby didnt do it but politics were more important. Gov new war on terror wasnt real, didnt bother tightening up airports and corby got caught, gov wouldnt admit they were slack. made sure she went down for it.And chamberlains story about the dingo fails the logic test at every point. Fake news media complic in every bit of mess.

I am pretty sure they found a blanket belonging to the Chamberlains and they are considered innocent.

Dingos have been camp dogs for about 30 thousand years. They don't do that shit. They don't pull jump suits off like that. Legendary trackers found no tracks consistent with a dingo carrying a baby or dragging one. there's no body , the dingo would have to traveled along way to avoid being found next morning. Lots of people went looking at dingo hangouts. baby didnt cry, no evidence it was killed in the tent, so it wouldn't. No evidence of a struggle. it's more likely an alien dressed as a dingo took it, than her story.

A HANDWRITING expert who examined the ransom note left in the JonBenet Ramsey case says it’s likely the letter was written by the tragic girl’s late mother, Patsy.

In an interview with US news show 20/20, which is taking a look at the case 20 years on, handwriting expert Cina Wong, said: “It’s highly probable that she wrote the ransom note.”

The documentary Jonbenet: The father speaks allowed John Ramsey to claim that no serious expert claimed that Patsy wrote the note. I am ok with the father having that belief but the documentary should have pushed him further on the issue. Without doing so the documentary becomes just a fluff piece in the father's favour. They needed to debunk the issues cited by 'non-serious' experts such as Cina Wong.

I listened to a crime podcast recently that was an interview with a guy who has followed the case for years. He was going into the child exploitation side of things saying photographers can be creepy etc. didn't point the finger at anyone but didn't really mention the brother. To me he was accusing the parents of beauty pageant kids as at times going the extra mile to get the kids ahead. I was kind of thinking he was accusing the parents of perhaps allowing someone to photograph their daughter and things went to far. Maybe the parents went the cover up after that. I'm not sure on that theory. However the recent doco I thought made good points re the brother perhaps doing it and the parents covering it up. Although I don't think they needed to tie her up the way she was. Which again point to other potential scenarios such as a photographer going to far.

Can you link it.

Man i don't know how to say this without sounding ignorant or bewildering simple but i just can't see the father as anything but a fine man who went through a tragic event. It's like just implausible they spoil the kid and then turn on her and murder her. No way i just can't see it in this man. They seemed like a loving family

Yeah I don't think the parents murded her but seems to be a chance they played a part in a cover up.
