right now and on current form watson, but lewis could have a better future

its not wierd at all, but it is easy.
watson in a canter.
all you need to do is look at top ten disposal getters for this season and realise how far off that bunch that jordan lewis is. (watson no.4)
his disposal isnt actually that bad, sure hes missed a couple of crucial shots at goal in the last 2 weeks that afl players should kick, but his kicking is not the worst and is improving. you guys are just being lazy and repeating what somebody else has said before you without taking the time to really compare his skill level with others.

Just like you're being lazy not telling us who he actually has better skill levels than?

Or could it just be because there is no-one? :thumbsu:

So the number of disposals tells you how good a player is?

Are you saying these are the top 10 players?

1. Simon Goodwin Adelaide
2. Chris Judd West Coast Eagles
3. Scott West Western Bulldogs
4. Jobe Watson Essendon
5. Sam Mitchell Hawthorn
6. Ryan Houlihan Carlton
7. Lenny Hayes St Kilda
8. Shane O'Bree Collingwood
9. Dane Swan Collingwood
10. Adam Simpson Kangaroos

They are all up there.

Watson >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Lewis.

Watson > Lewis at the moment. Lewis is playing poo and deserves to be dropped..

Lewis however has more runs on the board, because Watson has been terrible from day one up until this year..

You also have to remember that Lewis spends a lot of time on the bench. He had 17 possies in around 55 mins on Saturady night. I'd like to see what Lewis could do if he played every minute in the centre for 3 games straight!

Jobe's averaging 27 touches off about an average of 60% of full game time (he got more than that last start).

"Jobe can't kick" is everyone's favourite comment at the moment, but he only duffed one against Richmond iirc(the one everyone remembers) and he was going fine this week until that set shot. He also has been getting better and more effective each week due to his confidence growing.

He'll keep improving.

This season Watson is a more valuable asset to his team. So if based on 2006 then Watson by a decent margin. However if looking into the future i would suggest Lewis.

Firstly, this is Watson's first decent season and this is his fourth, although he has had injuries during that time.

This is Lewis' second year and he had a very solid debut season, one that was more impressive than anything Watson has done to date. He isn't performing as well this year however this would be influenced by Hawks having a fully fit midfield compared to last season when Batemen and Mitchell missed significant chunks.

Strange poll considering the difference in years in the system, however it is hard to pick and I could understand both sides of argument.
