I feel for Bootsma's partner. Move yourself away from your family (she's a country girl too) and live with your boyfriend, fall pregnant, only to have your boyfriend not having a full crack at his job and eventually put his foot in it by Snapchatting a girl of yourself and posting pictures of yourself at the beach when you're a late withdrawal.

It just sounds like he didn't want to be there. If that's the attitude he has, then in the coming days he'll have something more important to begin thinking about. Here's hoping they all pull through it together and sorts himself out.

When I was in school, I knew a fair few 16/17yr olds from my school and from surrounding area who went clubbing regularly. I've also met a 15yr old in a club once...and she looked 18 too. Nothing happened as she told me her age but still scary as all hell I was chatting her up at the time and interested. I'm so thankful she had some morals and didn't try and compromise mine.

Not defending Bootsma, he has a wife and family to be and it's a dog move he's pulled no matter the age, but I would like to know if he knew, was lied to or not told anything to do with age.

Reading through this thread you can't help but question it.

Posters thinking it's a low act with a baby on the way on one hand, and then reveling that we don't have to pay him out on the other.

He isn't scum, he is 21 years old and really shouldn't have his life mistakes broadcast across the country. The club's actions in this are just as disappointing - they shouldn't have thrown his character under a bus by detailing previous misdemeanors to save face.

A few mistakes in your youth don't define who you are, and there is more to life than football. Good luck to him.

I've sure there's a great quip here but I'm too depressed about the situation to think of it.

(Seriously though, I do very much feel for the partner at this time. She's been let down, betrayed, humiliated in a very public way by his actions.)

I think that the majority of people are more pissed off with Boots because of his actions which have seriously embarrassed his heavily pregnant GF who is about to drop any day now. Having the father of her child (probably) getting sprung sexting a 15 year old girl and potentially getting put on the sex offenders register is going to be more than enough trouble than she should have to deal with.

Shit... can you imagine, if in 15 years time they are still together, having to explain to your kid why... if there is a sex offence in the vicinity their dad keeps getting pulled into the cop station for questioning?

I'm not upset at him for being a mindless moron who couldnt keep it in his pants... I am more upset at him for the embarrassment that he has caused to his family and in the future... his kid. But then again, thats modern kids for you... no common sense.

SACKED Blues defender Josh Bootsma propositioned a young fan for sex within 15 minutes of connecting on social media, it has been alleged.

One of the women at the centre of the scandal says the 21-year-old sent her explicit images, constantly asked her around to his house and told her he was not in a relationship even though his girlfriend was pregnant.

Police have not ruled out investigating the footballer, dumped by Carlton on Tuesday, after the extent of his sexting was revealed.
