There appears to be growing momentum from various online sources that the Dockers plan on making a play for WA Bulldog Josh Hill.

Medium Sized forward 66 games with the dogs for 75 goals.

Where does he fit into our side? Surely he would come dirt cheap (i.e 4th rounder)

Thoughts on him as a player? He has been heavily criticized for some soft efforts over his career at the dogs.

Has played hbf or bp but lacked accountability.

Doesnt have enough strength to play in defence. Could be ok on the wing, HFF.

I assume his skills are good and pace is good. Can anyone confirm?

Needs to improve his work ethic.

Growing momentum from whom? The Bulldogs list management team? Josh Hills mum?

Distinctly recall him being "outclassed" by JVB (the specialist forward that he is) in our early win over the Dogs this year if that is anything to go by.

Yeah, let's grab another soft, flaky, outside flanker type. It's not like we don't have enough already.

Let's rookie list C. Hinkley while we're at it.:thumbsu:

Except he is fast AND skillful unlike Hinkley. Don't mind so long as he comes in the PSD.

If, as expected, we are going to finally start playing some tough, contested footy, then Hill is the last type of player we should be looking at.

He couldn't win a one on one contest to save himself.

Others have covered it. He's fast, skilful, knows how to kick a goal, but a few years in the system now and hasn't really come on - both physically and in application to the game. He's soft as anything and doesn't hold to structures too well. He's still young though (22?) so he's probably got one last chance at getting it all together somewhere.

Good player if you need a bit of depth in that area and are willing to take a punt (he's only 22 so there's a bit of time to get it all together), but I don't think we really fit into that category.

..and the trade week rumours begin.

How many players will be linked with us this time. Do these same sources have us compensating the Bulldogs with Pavlich and Sandilands as part of the trade..

Sorry, thought this was the Stephen Hill's brother thread.

Even though I haven't seen Baby Stephen play, just because of the name, still do not want.

Believe Josh and Stephen are cousins?

Some of the stuff I have seen him do is good but in contested footy....

Reminds me a lot of Stephen Koops, you got flashes of brilliance with Koopsy (great trade by us to the dogs).

KOOOOOOOOOOOPSSSSSS

Koopsy was a ****ing gun. Could pull out the hangers, could kick the jaggy goal from the pocket, but could also lay some absolute bone rattling tackles.

Skinny as hell, but man, if he went in for the tackle, you always knew it was going to stick. Was like an anorexic Cooky, with better athleticism and better skills. Have some random vague memory of sticking the shoulder in cleanly with a tackle, and hurting the bloke. That's where it's at.

Saying that, I think we got rid of him at the right time though. Wasn't going to last forever.

Saw him at the Yangebup Wooly's when I was a young fella, he was probably my fav player at the time. Really wished I got his autograph.

Stephen Koops for David Mundy - thankyou very much Doggies.

We don't wanna tough just incase we get some karma coming back at us.
