I don't want to diminish everyone's lived experiences, but not sure your bulked billed medical procedures can compare with the best in the business that AFL sportsmen have available to them, also, our "high performance" is going from the fridge and back to the chair to shit post on BF which isn't in the same ballpark as the stress placed on AFL athletes.

Injuries have a cumulative effect on professional athletes, it is never a great thing to get hurt and I am not sure things ever heal back to 100%. I am sure Kelly will be fine though. It would be a concern if the injuries continue to mount up though.

Agree. All the more reason not to take 2 year contracts when your retirement package is sitting there. We're all immortal in our 20's...

I can understand his reasons, GWS was flying at the time and we had a pretty disappointing year, it was a great opportunity for him and it is not like he had to scrape by on minimum wage, he was still earning a mint for his age.

To some extent it would have wallpapered over some cracks for us as well. We needed to resolve some major issues and we took a great stride this year. Swallow and Gibson moving on and Ziebell going forward was a massive restructure of our midfield and it worked really well when we applied ourselves.

I think if you were an outside mid you could look at our side atm and see the impact that you could have, it was probably a lot harder to envisage this time last year.

It was still dangerous though. He's on good money yes, but with a 2 year contract he's exposed. If he gets a career altering injury no amount of promises are going to see us hand over the same for him. The smart move longterm would have been to sign a 4-5 year contract at GWS if he wasn't going to move to North IMO.

Oh it was what I started with initially (in May) before removed that BG and made it with our 1999 GF win which is in the below, which I just edited now as it had De Goey (and Gaff) in there and added Polec in there with Gaff:

He went to the cops to get a restraining order but they told him not to worry because you never leave the house, except to play futsal.
