Judd still with only two AA selections

Yeah I know. Very few would pick him, and fair enough. I'm just making a point about Judd's supposed dominance over these last years without really making big waves in AA selection.

In comparison, all of Brisbane's fab four seemed to get named year after year, from memory.

Lappin was in IC for 01, 02

only 1 year did all 4 get named (02)

but that was because they were THE dominant midfield back then. Now there are other decent midfields to go around with the eagles.

In the wash up of the 07 All Australian squad being named, it is interesting that the game's dominant figure over the last five years has only made it into two of the AA sides in that time.

Yeah, well that's two more than Jon Brown, who is supposedly Judd's main competition for the #1 player mantle.

Who cares about AA selection? It's meaningless. People should get over it.

I think Port's midfield 01-04 was up there with Brisbane's. A few player s didn't get the recognition they should have.

Judd should have made AA in 05. Was an absolute farce that neither he or Kerr did.

Juddy's problem is that he's set such high standards that he gets judged more harshly now.

Judd struggled mightily against the tag, and didn't deserve or get, selection.

he's only had one truly great season: 2006.

Oh how he struggled in 2005... 22.3possies, 3.2marks, 0.6goals, 3.2tackles. Obviously everyone expected more from him, seeing as he was the reigning brown low medalist. He still did his job and was fantastic. I can't see how those stats show him struggling.

He has gradually got better over the last 6 years until this year when his first 10 weeks were amazing (barring a couple games) and then he got injured.

He will end up with plenty more AA if he keeps doing what he does best.

Judd has been injured for half the year and still has some pretty good stats this year. Shows how good he would have been if he didn't get injured. Wasn't he averaging 28 possies for a while?
