Guys, guys, guys! I was thinking. Did Julie have a tape player in her car or radio. And if radio what station was it on? With young ladies, they have a soundtrack to their lives. Whatever was playing in the car can maybe shed light on what happened?

There are some images of the interior of her car in here somewhere.

Julie drove a 1963 Fiat 125.

From the below, it appears that Julie would have required a retro-fitted one (if that was even possible) based on how old her car was.

'In 1962, Muntz introduced the Wayfarer 4-track cartridge tape player. Celebrities, including Frank Sinatra, had these units installed in their cars.

In 1965, Ford and Motorola jointly introduced the in-car 8-track tape player as optional equipment for 1966 Ford car models. In 1968, a dashboard car radio with a built-in cassette tape player was introduced by Philips. '

Given the age of the Fiat, it probably only had an AM radio. It would've been tuned to radio station 6PM in all likelihood as the only other alternatives were 6WF, 6IX and 6KY none of which played much contemporary music and were aimed at older audiences. 6PM on the other hand was playing pop music and also had popular DJs such as Wastie and Martin and Lionel Yorke. Of course she could've had the original radio swapped out for a newer tape deck with FM radio, in which was 96fm would've been the most likely radio station back in the 80's for her to listen to as most of the others that exist today didn't exist until more recently.
