Hopefully there's high quality CCTV with night vision recording what happens on that beach at night.
Although for privacy reasons, there might not be.

They might be able to get something by way of CCTV from up top on the main road.

Looks like the weather after dark on Friday 27th Sep, 2024 (last week) was cold, wet and windy.
Good cover for hiding something in the sand at night.

The actual weather nearer to the CBD last Friday was with some decent wind gusts (up to 59km p/hr late Friday arvo),
with the wind coming from the ocean, and rain recorded.

Quite chilly on Saturday morning at 6.8C minimum.

Probably windier on the coast.

Very confusing! So the leg bone , they are suggesting it maybe the same bone that was found and lost at north cott? Washed south by winter storms.

So an off-duty Police Office found the tibia bone last week, just North of the Indiana venue, half buried in the sand.
Quite a coincidence that is was a Police Officer that found it.

I'd think we can't yet rule out that someone communicated to Police (formally or informally) that they'd seen/found a possible human bone, and the off-duty copper was tasked or elected to go and pick it up from Cott beach on that bad weather cold morning last Saturday.
