Number 4 but with the colours inverted i.e. charcoal yoke on an orange guernsey with charcoal G. Would look great and solves the front/back issues.

I still think you had the right idea in your previous design, but if you made the G this size, it would go down better as I've seen similar designs on here.

Number 2, but it either needs to be worn with orange shorts or have a charcoal back, even if that means putting a Melbourne style mini yoke on the back (orange from the shoulders to the top of the numbers and then charcoal below).
4 with no yoke, charcoal back and orange numbers. Clean and simple, no stupid unbalance between the front and back.

Something about the guernsey just doesn't work imo.
The best this could look is if it was proportioned like the Carlton monogram, of Lions lion.

I think the best look for the Giants would be an inverse of the original home guernsey with the left aligned G.
Charcoal yoke, orange base and back, orange shorts, white G.
Allows them to continue to lean into their ‘orange team’ vibe whilst solving the light back/dark front issue they have now.

Yeah this is pretty good too. Something about the two tone just looks stronger than versions with the white G.

Quick mockup of what I'd like to see from the Giants (I know it's probably been done before)
A return to the G on the left, the curved yoke, with a charcoal back is the best look for them IMO. It's a strong look and a good use of a unique colour set.
However it seems they want the orange to be their primary colour, which is fine. In that case, I think this would be the best solution for them.
A simple inverse of the colours and a change to orange shorts at home would solve the clash issues their current home uniform creates. I decided to keep the collar and cuffs orange for a bit of contrast on the front.

2, Bring back the old design, remove the dodgy weird charcoal side parts we had for years and I'm sold. Whether charcoal back or orange doesn't bother me really

I really rate this, they really do have a pretty strong visual brand even if somethng like sky blue would have been most people's preference. this balances nicely and you could have about 15 variants on the single design, swap them out every few year, and keep the income coming while still having a clear set of strips.

Gold Coast just need yellow edging on the S, and it's fine.
The fact that it's all red with a washed-out S makes it horrible, and I cannot believe that brand consultants and board members looked at the final product and thought, 'perfect'.
