Narr mate, it is you who looks a little bit out of touch here unfortunately? where do you work?

If you told a boss on a site to 'Get f***ed' out of frustration because he kept putting you on the shovel for 3 months straight? You'd cop a stern warning and mouthful from a superior and maybe a written warning.

Infact one outburst involving swearing, would not be grounds for instant dismissal without warning, youd have a case for unlawful dismissal.

I work in office and I have had staff lose their cool at superiors, Ive seen them swear at them and slam doors, it happens - I have NEVER seen anyone lay hands on each other though, ever.. in my 15 years in work force.

Your'e hell bent on defending this at all costs, its a dead end road. It was the lowest point of his career in his own words, lets move on.
You can stop at I work in an office.

haha always such a witty conversation where you are involved. Ill take that as you have no rebuttal to my post then? so you are out kind of admitting your'e wrong and a bit out of touch then?. I have worked in several workplaces and have yet to have my boss assault me, sounds like it's happening at your work everyday though, totally normal, part of everyday life, nothing to see here.

For someone who constantly complains about being attacked for your posts you sure do attack a lot of posters.

Extend Leppas contract. It's the head of Human Resources whose head I want on the chopping block.

You cannot be serious right? I would honestly love to know why you believe that leppa has earned a contract extension. Really, i would.

He mentioned it was a lot of the players ready to take the next step in their careers and used to be coached by Vossy. The younger players are well looked after by Leppa but I think it is the club overcompensating for the go home factor, which we need to do!

Relationship with Leppa strained for Joel when he was played out of position, was forced into a running defender type position which he felt was going to reduce his career. Move to GWS was also the opportunity to take back a KP spot.
Interesting there was a lot of talk of vossy having a little boys club of senior players that held a lot of sway and weren't held accountable for performance by all reports. Maybe they couldn't take a lot of the home truths that were told to them when Leppa came on board. Also think it's fantastic that lambo sat down with Joel to hear what he thought needed to change. At least tells us the club is being proactive in trying to do everything it can to turn the ship around. Seems more and more like a few soft **** players didn't like being told the truth. Even more reason to love Leppa, Back him in this year with an injury free run for us to climb out the bottom of the ladder.

Coaches are managers and like all managers they have to sometimes tell it like it is, knowing the truth is going to potentially fracture a few relationships - some take it well, some don't. It has forever been this way. Leppa has some things to work on and I am sure that like most good coaches he will reflect on plenty over the off season and adapt his style while not compromising on the expectations.

As for the players, a few have gone who perhaps couldn't or wouldn't accept what they were being told. A few are still there but disgruntled or dissatisfied, but willing to see how things evolve.

i suspect that part of Leppa's problem was in strategically and structurally getting the team to run when they were only learning to walk. It may have caused confusion and dissatisfaction in the group.

Anyone who has played or coached sport for a while has probably had the experience of feeling you were getting nowhere fast and feeling nothing was going right. Then bit by bit things start to work until you realize one day that what was once hard is easy and everyone is singing from the same song book. I have seen teams barely change tactics, personnel or coach and yet go from hopeless to outstanding. It just happens because gradually everything aligns.

That is the magic of group performance - you can't always measure the things that make it all work.

Interesting...where did you hear this?

You don't like the coach, you think the recruiters are stupid, you think the club is weak for backflipping.
I think you're a Collingwood troll.
Is there anything about this club you do like?

1. Actually i do like the coach, however under performing coaches are not deserving off praise. So until Leppa actually get's this club performing at a decent level, then it's only natural to want him out.
2. We were royally bent over on the aish trade (i'm also not the only one who thinks this)
3. We were weak on back flipping and one of the reasons why this club is in such a mess is due to our inability to actually stick to our words.

Also, have you ever heard of this magical word called an opinion? I suggest you look it up, because there is a fine difference between trolling and voicing your opinion and i'm doing the latter. Also, pretty low of you to bait me with that troll remark.

Your expectations for the Aish trade were too high. We only got slightly under what he was worth. Just because you're not the only one who thinks that doesn't make it any more true. If we were 'bent over' in the Aish trade we would have copped a lot more from the media but everyone seems to think we did ok given the situation.

Anyone who thinks a rebuild happens in 2 years is absolutley deluded. Leppa's success til now could only be measured from within and I trust the clubs board now to look hard enough at his performance measures. They are backing him in, good enough for me. I want to see it play out in full, not half a rebuild, then half a rebuild, then half a.......
