I`ll say it again - Simon bloody Loyd
he is definitely one we should have approached (maybe we did) ...and maybe still can if we are not satisfied with any thus far.

Yeh I`m surprised his name hasn`t been in the mix, publicly atleast.
I believe his departure from Freo was a big part of our decline.
He`s got development, assistant coaching and now director of coaching experience - He`d be a perfect fit I reckon.

Simon Lloyd when he was an assistant at Freo was the Good cop to Ross Lyon’s Bad cop. Lyon would abuse the players and Lloyd basically had to comfort them afterwards. Ask Lachie Neale.
People give Lyon all the credit for the Walters transformation but it was Simon that Walters had to report to when on exile at Swans District.

He was the interim coach in fitzroys last season (last 8 games) and may have gone to brisbane i think.
Was geelongs development coach in early 2000 we all know what they went on to do.
Then went to gws.
That is a crazy suggestion. We are a professional AFL club.
It should only be done at the Gold Coast.

Seems left field because he's not mentioned as a next head coach in the media and is probably on his way out of Hawthorn this year according to some blokes on the Hawthorn board

He's GM of Football atm. I might be wrong but head coach would be a step backwards for him in terms of his career path wouldn't it?

I like Simon Lloyd, our development was probably at its best when he was in charge. As long as he doesn’t bring his brother back!
