Was going to say the same! Even diehard Canadian lefties jumped ship a long time ago. The Conservative Party only recently became relevant here in British Columbia but I still don't know anybody singing Trudeau's praises.

It's all imaginary. Not too many Trudeau stans to be found here. They think the bizarre cultlike support Trump has, is the same way 'lefties' feel about any politician that's nominally left.

True, and besides, any actual leftist would much prefer the NDP in Canada over the centrist neoliberal Trudeau.
Okay, fair enough. I don't like Trudeau either because he broke his promise to reform Canada's antiquated voting system. I don't think anything fundamentally changes there until that happens.

Justin Trudeau years overlap with right wingers losing it for good. In 2015 they weren't cooked enough to call centrists far left. Today they say it dead serious for anything less than Trump and Yoon.
I'd wondered where they'd all scuttled off too, as they'd been eerily silent in the usual threads. Seems they've locked on to the next "woke leftist marxist socialist" issue they can bleat about.
All promoted policies that eventually resulted in pain and suffering.
