The Dems made it clear they dont want or need the working class anynore and it was solidified when Hilary called thise thinking of voting Trump as Deplorables.
What she actually said was half of his supporters were deplorables, and she was right. Not helpful electorally of course but it was spot on.

She made the comment after;
Trump called her a monster, unbalanced, unstable and unhinged
Said a Clinton presidency would lead to “the destruction of this country from within”
Got his rallies chanting "lock her up"
Rally goers heard shouting "traitor" and "kill her"

One of the mildest responses you could possibly imagine. And it still sends blokes like you into a tizzy to this very day 8 years later :drunk:

How is asking for ID to prove citizenship supressing the vote? Isnt it ensuring fairness?

Why is an ID needed for nearly everything but it's not ok for what should be the most fundamental right if a citizen.
Vote ID requirements famously being the only voter surpression method :tearsofjoy:

You're so dishonest, its actually unreal.

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Trump will appear at two separate town halls in front of a Spanish-speaking audience next month, Univision announced Tuesday.

Why it matters: One of the largest U.S. Spanish-language broadcasters is putting the presidential candidates before a key voting bloc, Hispanic voters, to face questions on the economy, jobs, health care, immigration and foreign policy.

  • "There are more than 36 million Hispanics eligible to vote in the U.S., making them the largest minority in the country, with the power to influence the outcome of the race for the White House and the future of the nation," Noticias Univision president Daniel Coronell said in a statement.
Zoom in: The town halls scheduled to take place next month will be moderated by journalist Enrique Acevedo.
  • Undecided Hispanic voters will directly ask questions to each candidate, the broadcaster said.
  • "The events will put an electorate that represents close to 15% of the voting bloc front and center, creating a forum exclusively for Latinos," per Univision.

This will be huge for her if she can reach through to them.

Moderator seems to have a good reputation, should be interesting.

She's doing a softball TV tour where the viewership will be predominantly childless cat ladies and other assorted grey and miserables. Where she will continue with her policy of trotting out meaningless word salads and nothing of substance.

It won't move the needle a jot.
That post is about as shameful as your lousy Teams GF performance , lift you game champ ;)

This happens next week.

Harris is in Nevada, a swing state.

Trump's has been postponed due to the Democrats sending a hurricane to Florida. No idea why he's doing a town hall in Florida and not in a swing state anyway.

Please don't put me in the awkward position of not being able to wholeheartedly agree with this post.

They selectively ignored other media and town hall appearances to different demographics as well (in the very post they referenced). Which of course is no surprise with S4L.

And another thing they are dealing with

Never, why? If a political party polices are such that they cannot win fairly, in a properly functioning democracy said party changes its polices or is replaced with another party. Political parties after all should reflect the views and wishes of the voting population.

Once the Democrats where the party for racist southern whites & the Republicans could not win a southern state. Both parties altered their polices in a search for more votes, until the positions are reversed.

The question than arises as to why the Republican party does not alter their polices again to obtain a wider base instead of doubling down on pandering to the basest desires of the worst of their base and relying on various forms of cheating (such as gerrymandering and disenfranchising voters).

It is my belief that the problem is that both major parties are so beholden to monied interests that they cannot afford to alter their polices. The parties therefore do not reflect the views and wishes of the voting population but the interests of opposing wealthy elites.

Think it's obvious why Trump didnt do 60 minutes now.. CBS just cant be trusted to be impartial.

Trump's interview would have been edited to be something like this.

You mean the CBS that had aired the "word salad" part already? That was widely publicised already.

While you're here, how exactly does switching from electoral college to popular vote "end Democracy"?

Excellent article , photo id hardly stops non existent fraud on the day but prevents marginalised people from voting
How does it prevent them from voting?

Why the two answers to the same question in the first place¿ In an unscripted interview doesn't that come across as odd

Also I love the argument that if Trump gets in he will end democracy but you are all for the system that will allow one party to rule forever.

As usual it's you trying to walk both sides of the sterrt

Smart as 29.6% of the people in Nevada are hispanic (919k people).
I quite like that they are spending more time in the states that they could try to win.
Then the Univision the following week.

It is quite obvious why. He’s a total coward.

May I ask why you worship such a weak man?

No. You know this is untrue. Let's not do the thing where you pretend not to understand. It should be beneath you, as someone who proclaims to have moral standards.

Trump (and other Republicans) want to put into action a system where he/they can ignore the will of the voters and be President (among other offices) without winning an election.

If presidential elections were by popular vote, Republicans are entirely allowed to win them, by receiving more votes nationwide, which is fitting for a nationwide office. There is nothing stopping them, outside of comparative popularity with voters.

What you would be concerned with is that Republican Presidential candidates would actually have to better represent their entire constituency. This may not bode well for the agendas of the more extreme ideologues and those who simp most for the very wealthy and powerful.

But in any case, since Republicans would have the same opportunity as Democrats to win a single nationwide vote for a single nationwide office, I repeat the question, how would this "end Democracy"?

Or are we arguing for equality of outcome here (both sides have to get a turn regardless of vote share), instead of equality of opportunity?

First paragraph was right (except for the last sentence) but they totally ****ed up the landing.

The way you all gloat about being the party of the 'educated' shows you don't really want them either.

In a two party system if you reject someone there is really only two ways for them to go. Vote for the other party or don't vote at all.
The GOP have absolutely zero interest in the working class. The working class are nothing more than a capital input that the GOP would replace with hamsters if they could.

You might be right that the Dems are flawed - and liberalism is certainly flawed - but Trump and the GOP are not the answer.

Just like Trump pretends to be a Christian to harvest votes, he also pretends to represent the working class to harvest up votes. That is Trumps entire electoral strategy - harvest votes in a handful of critical states.

But the reality is Trump has a history of not paying his bills. Which means Trump has a history of not paying workers.

Trump is the ultimate charlatan.

Just watched the Kamala 60 minutes interview, it is frightening that this person could end up leading the free world? I'd rather vote for "Mayor Pufnstuff" than Kamala Harris, she hasn't got any answers to anything and just tosses up any old rubbish and hopes the interviewer is dumber than she is? It's mind boggling she's gotten this far. How can any sane person think she will be good for America?
