Kane...wasted talent or over the hill?

I caught some footage of Kane kicking arse back in 2006 when he returned and took out the Flag Burners (Test and others). Funny footage as it shows Kane doing a Karnoonie...with Booker T.

It got me thinking that the Kane we see now is such a jobber and is only used to move the younger guys forward. Now I understand the need to grow talent etc....but making Kane so weak does tarnish his legacy and certainly doesn't in my view make good entertainment.

Wouldn't it be great to see Kane, become a real kick arse heel again....instead of slipping into obscurity.

I've always wanted to see Kane go back to being a dominant monster Heel, there was always such huge potential with his character. The WWE really messed it up in 2003/4 and he's got such little return for all he's put into the business.

He's only had one WWE title reign and that was for 24 hours. He's never been the most skilled in-ring, but neither is John Cena and look how successful he is.

However, I think that if the WWE were ever going to give Kane a run at the top, it would have happened by now. At the moment, I think he's past it.

BTW, I believe that footage is from 2002. Brings me back to a time when the WWE was more interesting.

I think when he lost the Mask he Character went Down Hill Will Quick and Lost any real chance of having Title Reign and I think he could of easily had a good Title Run between 2000-2005 but they just left him as a Upper-Mid Card for Young Wrestler to go over so they can look like they could be World Champ soon

For shit sake, why can't they just do a monster vs. monster storyline? I think that'd go over nicely.

I think the comments to date..have hit the mark...to place the mask back on kane just wouldn't work...but it would be a great monster v's monster storyline. I agree kane has put on some more padding, so to give him a genuine title run, he would need to strip down a few kilo's.......I would also like to think he could run a program against the deadman....I know they have done the brother v brother story...but that was a long time back..although, both are now getting a little long in the tooth ........and it doesn't put over the new faces of the business.....but for those that have wtached for years it would be fun to do it again.

All in all, let's hope Vince....can see the light, and at least let him go out with some style..........

If he was in an inferno match or something where he was 'set on fire' or something of the sort you could sent him off to shed a few, and come back with the mask hiding a hideous disfigurement or some sort as a result of the match with a feud with a 'monster' type.

Kane was a wasted talent maybe 4 years ago now he is past it but is a solid monster. When he took off his mask and became a disturbing heel doing wickedly heelish things was the prime time to give him a proper main event run but once again they turned him face waaaay too early.

Make him lose abit of weight so he can move more!
