Great news at Murch with 2013 B&F winner and GF BOG Chris Cullinan being based in Shepparton and agreeing to terms as assistant coach. John Shiels will also continue as assistant coach to Steve Reeves. Training has resumed with the bulk of the 2013 squad returning to the Hoppers with replacements to be announced shortly to replace the couple of departures we have had.

"Any hints to the identity of this person if the rumour is true.
I thought my knowledge of the internal workings of VT was only second to the great little dumpy man, but obviously if the rumour is true I know very little."

If it quacks like a duck!!

Stanhope have made a couple of changes to the fixture.

1. Moving our match vs Murch to March 29th.
2. Moving our match vs Nagambie from Round 17 (August 2nd) to Round 4 (Where we both had the bye.

Seemed a bit more logical when we both clubs would have already completed their Bye rounds prior to July.

Have any other clubs made changes to their matches?

Little quite on here otherwise fellas! Any other recruitment news? Haven't heard much out of Tally/Avenel. Whats your predictions for 2014?

Did hear the other day that Nagambie wont be fielding a thirds side this year, maybe someone from the lakers can confirm..

How is practice match organisation going? We have scheduled Broadford on Saturday 8th March at Murchison, followed by Dookie United on Saturday 15th March also at Murchison.

We are even attempting to field a 4ths team against Dookie, which will be fantastic.

Numbers at training have been good and expectations are again high. Thirds could do with a few more, but things are developing.

I will have a list of arrivals and departures ready to post shortly, but you can probably find a few in the KDFL clearances anyway.

Also on the Auskick front, I am trying to get a local Grid Game concept off the ground. The idea is for KDFL Auskick centres near Tatura to send their kids to Tat one Friday night a month (May, June, July, August) where we will set up Grids like the AFL do and play a series of games against one another.

My thought is that we could sort the kids into two age groups Prep/1 and Grade 2/3. Then place the kids in teams of 6-8 players, throw a Bulldogs, Grasshoppers, Lions, Wombats, Tigers, Kangaroos or Cats jumper on them and play a game.

Please PM me if you think your Auskick centre might be interested in this. I can then put a case to the Tat Junior Football Committee to get it happening.
