I would have thought Hoota would have to be playing to win that??
Mooroopna is not an easy ground to play, Merrigum with its list of former Mooroopna and other GVFL players plus the week off should account for Stanhope by thirty-seven points. Sullivan BOG, umpiring to confuse players, several Mooroopna homes to be burgled, choice of venue queried (again), KDFL board members to appear periodically on the cricket pavilion balcony like Caligula and Russ Lee there to run water for Lancaster twos.

Lets try the glass half full for a change , good luck to all teams playing today at mooroopna today both footy and netball all officials you have all trained and worked hard all year to reach this point let's hope all games are hard fought and close and played with the sportsmanship that the game deserves . The day couldn't be any better let's hope for a really hard fought close contest

Well done Merrigum. 
Four years ago the league easybeats under a new and untried coach turned the season corner one win and eight losses. They finished the season in tenth spot having won seven of their last nine. Today they reaped the rewards of a long term vision with smart recruiting and talented locals (Would have loved to see Dyl Mc in there as well). Congratulations Merrigum and Barney and just reward to all of those who have stood firm through the darkest of days. On another note, during the celebrations of the coming days please organise for Rohan Hearn to get a decent haircut!
I recall a winning Senior side failing to acknowledge their opponents on presentation night not so many years ago.
Just thought it was really disappointing that the Stanhope senior coach chose to stay in the rooms after the game and not even acknowledge the win by merrigum.
Yeah mate very minor pay off, but that's what we do....

His as a much chance of coaching lanky as is hooda making a speech on grand final day & congratulating the gum
