Com’on voters. Contested possessions and contested marks are surely more fun than frees for and frees against which are basically as randomised as the Brownlow winner each year. How the hell Neale has 2 and Bont has none is beyond me…..

We don't want people dropping out if they find they don't like the scoring system. Only excuse to drop out is triplets and death

There's just more strategy to category scoring, you can make yourself really strong in certain cats/positions and choose to punt 1 or 2 cats. I just way prefer it after 10 yrs of AFL/NBA dynasty leagues. I use to like pts scoring but now it's too simple like you just target the guy who is scoring the highest game over. Wouldn't join a pts league now it's no fun IMHO. Just give it a go you'll enjoy it

Do marks inside 50 count for defenders as well as forwards?

Voted, went for simplicity as I agree with the idea that the league needs to be accessible for first timers/future coaches. Too may categories and a bad draft could have a team immediately rooted.
