Damn contested marks over disposal efficiency? I rly think we should do disposal efficiency rather than clearances as ppl who do supercoach are use to using that stat and it applies to all positions. Clearances is such a midfield heavy stat and mids are already valued highly.

Barrybran category scoring is a significantly more interesting type of game. You can find more value in players then in point scoring, which is especially valuable when there is a draft format. You can build a team of tackling, ball winning players and target high possession forwards and aim to win that way. Or you might go for a less traditional setup of strong marking rucks, high scoring forwards and have a real team that is different or even a more balanced approach.

Categories make a heap more players relevant.

Well said

Can we have 11 categories or is that too many? Looked like we have some sort of consensus across 10 but we need the tie-breaker. Or do we just use “score weighted more” so score gets + 1?

Damn so almost everyone has voted and we have contested marks, clearances, disposal eff % all on tied on 6 votes for the 9th cat. I think 9 cats is ideal personally, have been in a lot of cat leagues over the yrs for both footy and NBA and with more cats than 9 it starts getting hard to follow, where as with less cats u can tell near the of the weekend which cats are close and which players need to do what. Much better in the moment with not too many cats.

Whoever hasnt voted, please come split the last cat, ideally contested marks or dis eff %, clearances is such a midfield heavy stat and fantasy is already midfield heavy. I'm rooting for disposal eff % personally.

Edit. I cant count, we get 2 of contested marks, disposal eff % or clearances for the last 2 cats.
