Score, Kicks, Hbs, marks, tackles, Hitouts and spoils. That might work?

Prefer 9 personally 7 doesnt seem like enough

I’m keen to have at least something different to other leagues. I’d really like to see either clearances or contested marks (prefer both personally) in here to make it a unique challenge.

agreed on having something different! Its why i dont wanna adopt PRC category weighting

I think everyone is switched on enough to at least have a good starting plan for draft even if it is different it should be fun and will mean some adapting as we go as well

What's your point here? That we should have PRC like weighting or that we shouldn't or that it doesn't matter?

For those not in PRC it's an existing league that weights the main cats ( kicks, HB, tackles, marks, score & hitouts at 2 with free kicks and accuracy worth 1)

Given the variance in votes, is it worth having more categories (9 or 11) with those categories being voted on unanimously being weighted higher than those that weren't? Or is this what you're suggesting against?

I dont think we should weight cats differently personally, i think it makes the good teams more unbeatable than with all cats weighted evenly. I think just 9 cats weighted the same but like with anything if the majority want to weight the main cats at 2 then no big deal

I'd rather not have weighted on anything. We play categories for a reason, not to give advantage for certain categories IMO.

Also, there's 7 obvious categories we're gonna go with, then there's three ...
contested marks (8), clearances (70, and disposal efficiency (6) to round it out.

Is it worth running a secondary poll where we all pick two of the three?

Could actually be some better idea of what people want.

I think we should just go with the 9 highest voted cats, we already did a poll lol. Even tho i voted for disp eff % i respect the poll so lets do clearances and contested marks as 8th and 9th cats. I 100% agree with no weighting of cats.

The draft time can be set, so i wonder if you just set it to today/tomorrow and see if it works. It's a start up so it doesn't have to worry about keepers or traded picks.

I assume you would need to go to the web version rather than app, but that is not the worst. Notifying people when it's their pick might be the tricky part via the website

Earliest you can set it to is Feb whatever it's on now. The other numbers on the calendar are greyed out. It's OK we'll just have to wait a fortnight.

We could just add players to our team from the free agent pool...

Starting in 2 weeks will mean we will need to go about 20 picks per day to get it done prior to round 1.

I have never had a slow draft go at that speed.

I reckon there will be some auto picks as we'll need to be tight on timeout (except overnight)

Yeah I reckon we start sooner rather than later. If that means starting offline and manually adding the results in, so be it.

EDIT: Unless, of course, we can commit to a date to smash it out in February.

Why dont we just draft by adding the players from the free agent pool. If you go on keeper and click players you can see the whole pool and it can be enabled that we can add players so why dont we start using a draft order and draft like that til the site lets us draft?

I think we can start offline. We can post our pick in this thread and tag the next person. We add our player from the free agent pool so no double ups.

It will naturally be slower but it might get us a couple of rounds done. Keeper has notifications with the app so that will help a lot keep things speedy. Please download it everyone.

We can also do a WhatsApp group just for alerts for picks which has worked for us previously.
