12 coaches sounds good so that even with quite a deep draft you don’t have to dig quite too hard into clubs’ rookie lists for your 40th draftee.

That's true - also makes the initial draft a bit shorter.

so 12 teams, we can revisit if more post they want in. Final call for tenderwarrior
Squad number? 45? Keep in mind with 2 less teams than the other 2 leagues thats 90 more players in the FA pool. So I dont see a need to go less. Still want to reward good drafting and not make teams reluctantly have to delist players

45 sounds good to me as long as we put a limit of 5 or 10 free player pool trades during the season similar to the other 2 leagues.
I can also help with running the league initially, but I'll probably have some dodgy mobile / internet coverage during this season as we're planning a lap of Oz.
Time to step up Zim, you'd be a natural.

I ran the league before PRC with Jordie_tackles BFFL. that went for a while. Also ran the redraft comp that died with payment. I’d much prefer to be the vice president. Will do,it if no one else wants to but need one of u with me. flaps would be good too

I'd be okay with some sort of roles, but not full time boss. I like to just chip in when it suits me really. Haha
I’m pretty happy with whatever the group wants. I’m just excited to join a league for the initial draft rather than inheriting a side. This way I can only blame poor progress on myself and I really need some personal accountability in my life.

I've never really understood thr need to cap free agency.
Surely, the more availability the FA pool, it creates more encouragement to stay active.
Capping at 5 is too strict IMO. Even one a week is too harsh.

I agree. Just makes waiver order more valuable. We don't want teams fielding donuts when there's so many players playing on the FA list

No capping is one of the main reasons why AFL Fantasy Draft is failing badly. You get coaches dumping players regularly so that the Draft version ends up too similar to the Classic version. Draft games should at least try to be close to the real AFL.

I actually like locking the FA list post draft, so the only way to move players is via draft(s) or trade.
