Whats a keeper league?

Each season starts with a draft.
Then you'll get to keep 2 player to rollover to the next season.
So you'll be able to hold onto good players for an extra season. Everyone has unique teams

Keep 2 players? Sounds like a draft league. Keeper / Dynasty leagues depending on the field setup and scoring you'd want to keep 1 player per position minimum.

I've been in 1 for 4 years - 10 teams, 27 players retained. Field setup is 6/8/2/6. Works perfect for finals too as everyone plays twice in R1-18 then 4 weeks of finals.

Im in one with 40 player squads and we only delist 3min. Works well as you can sit on fav kids for years and not impact your starting team

I don't think there is a bad number for a keeper as long as it's greater than your starting team. I would like to be able to keep and see the development of players, but I think it comes down to the maturity of the comp and the level of players you have. We have some strugglers in our comp, mainly because they drafted for year 1 with no future plan.

The significant de-list does make for some great stories, such as.......remember that one time you cut Josh Kelly? or you passed up <insert #1 pick> for Josh Dunkley. The longer draft each season is also a bonus IMO, because it's the one time where all teams think they've always won.
