It's the worst when she gets excited, she sounds like she's been yelling for hours in the stands or something. She sounds ok commentating netball (maybe it doesn't "excite" her) but netball matches are much shorter. Men have much stronger voices than women, maybe women shouldn't commentate football for that reason, but if they're so desperate for a woman to commentate surely they could do better.
 
Rather is another of her favorites. Roughhead/Franklin, Jack/MacGlynn, Stratton/Gilham, Dennis-Lane/Jetta. How ******ed is this woman?

Knowing she is so marginal and detested as a commentator, you would at least expect she'd be spot on with her player recognition as she adds nothing of substance to the call.
To be fair, BT gets alot of players mixed up, but at least he provides entertainment value as well.

Absolutely ridiculous that she can call footy and get paid to do so.

Channel 10 as a whole is a joke. I also think Blight has dementia from his call tonight.
 
I'm sure we all have the same reaction when we turn on the TV and hear that voice. You do get used to it after a few mins and it gets more tolerable.

Then theres that Lane guy with his over the top metaphors, similes, symbolism and what not.

No, you don't get used to it. It's like if you married a chainsaw and every night you went to bed you had to go to sleep next to this big orange Stihl that just went rinnntiinnnnndinnntinndiinnnn over and over again.
 
65 pages so far on this thread - Kellie is already a success.

She called the Swans game this weekend, against a team in Hawthorn that should have performed much better. So she's a good luck charm too.

You know why our game is the best in the world? Because we're mature enough to involve women.

Stick at it Kellie, getting better every outing.

Now i wonder what you opinion would be like if the result is reversed and instead of watching the swans thrashing hawthorn u were watching the hawks smashin the swans??

Lol give us a break. It's got nothing to do with maturity and everything to do with politics and publicity for the network and the AFL. Why is it that network Ten never made her go through the lower levels of football to earn a spot on the commentary team like all the other commentators? Why is it that after all the negative feedback from viewers they still persist with her? I'd say the answer to both of those questions are pretty damn obvious.
 
Come on, ok she's not the best commentator going around but she is not as bad as everyone is making her out to be. Would much rather listen to her commentating than Bruce Mcavaney.

She was voted worst called in the footy fans survey fwiw. I think her main problem is her voice and lack of confidence. She stuffs up players names a bit -she should call some local footy and improve her style before doing the big time.
 
She is better than Tim Lane. At least she might have a bit of testostorone in her body. Lane is a disgrace to the game.

Lane's a ****ing pain in the arse and he shits me no end, breeds ugly children as well. Underwood makes me want to put my eardrum next to a buzzsaw while chewing on a handful of bubblewrap.
