Bradley has talent, Nicholson doesn't.

Interesting that you use the word defender and not CHB.

McPhee and Rivers would be the better comparison.

Not really McPhee is a tallish running HBF/midfielder, not really a shutdown player - a Wheatley type (perhaps you're getting Rivers and Wheatley mixed up?).

Rivers is admittedly a slightly built KPP, who generally but doesn't always play CHB due to match up issues but he will grow into a dominant CHB.
From what I have seen Rivers has better defensive smarts and skills so I would say he is better than Bradley who doesn't play CHB in all instances either.

Rivers is a Joel Bowden type center half back. Back flank, really.

Bradley is a Croad/Harley CHB
No not really Joel Bowden is a midfielder temprarily filling in for Schultz when he gets back, again Bowden is a Wheatley type.

I would say Bradley is a running-athletic Croad type CHB whereas Rivers is a lighter more conventional, thinking CHB like Tom Harley zoning off to help teammates and shutting down opponents, although neither Bradley or Rivers are anywhere near as good as Croad or Harley yet.

Rivers has never, ever played on Lloyd. And infact Rivers very rarely plays on the oppositions best forward.
.

Your an idiot. Rivers played on LLoyd last year and kept him to 3 goals in a high scoring match. We won the match. Also he has played on Kingsley this year and kept him goalless.

Last year?
Was that the time Lloyd kicked 4.5, or 5.2?

I say Kepler.
You are so bias its not funny. Rivers easly over that lanky unco dopey looking ********

Rivers is our CHB, undersized but still our CHB

Miller down back has only been a temporary move and its good to give him experience in a variety of positions

Bradley will eventually turn into the dons full back when Fletcher goes while Rivers will continue to develope as a CHB

Rivers has done more so far in his career so based on that i vote him but there is no reason Kepler cant be as good if not better.

along with Rutten and Maquire, these will be the 4 best key defenders in 5 or so years

Bradley will remain at CHB.
He is a better body on body player than playing on a leading forward.
In the past two weeks Pavlich and Tredrea took nearly all of their marks on the lead against Bradley. That is the area of his game he needs to develop most. In the air he competes very, very well.

essendon supporters that think kepler should win the rising star are kidding themselves...

john barnes even reckons mclean has it sown up, and he's your assistant coach... i mean, er... runner, right?

I don't think you would find too many disagreeing with that.

Although since when does anyone listen to what John Barnes has to say?

your players listen to him a bit. :)

Look up his weight.

Why is lacking bulk a negative for Kep but not Rivers?

Because Rivers is very quick, which cancels it out. It's one thing to be slim and slow, another to be slim and fast.

drink slimfast.

How does being quick cancel out being slim when you are playing on blokes that are 100kg?

If you get to the footy before them they could weigh a million kg's and it won't mean squat.

Then why didn't Aaron Davey play on Barry Hall instead of Brad Miller?

Possibly because hes 5'8... and a forward.

..and Miller had enough pace to keep up with Hall.

If size is all that counts, why do players like Aaron Davey and Andrew lovett exist?

Size counts when you are playing on the comp's best forwards.
Miller played on Hall because of his size, not his pace.

Keplers pace is actually pretty good.
