Lockpicking is impossible with controller . Must be rough if you are playing on console.
I play on PC and use controller for a majority of the time , but switch to mouse for the locks.

I think it gets easier. My bro in law is playing on PS5 and has maxed out his lockpicking and reckons it's a breeze now after practicing on the very easy lock at the millers.

I started off throwing rocks at anyone in the stocks just to see if I could get a reaction. I worked my way up to throwing them at Von Bergow and goes "what are you, 5 years old?!" and I get the yellow searching bunny 😂

I was trying to sneak into a building and was throwing rocks near a housemaid and getting no reaction, so inching closer and closer to them just to get one. Eventually threw it straight at her and hit and she said "If you like me there's better ways to get my attention." Or something very similar. Thought it was a nice touch.

After about 60 hours I finally had nothing else to do in the first map so have been playing the main story. Man that Necessary Evil quest is so good but also mentally draining. The decision making was "easier" when trying to stick to RP but I still felt like there were no good decisions. Some of the writing in this game is amazing.

I got this reaction early on when I was trying to sneak into the barn to paint a bull for a side quest. Didn't know how to get the woman away from the door way so I thought I'd try throwing a rock. Hey, it works in other games. I blurt out laughing when she said that.

Yeah I'm on PS5 and have done the same - I just picked a hard level lock first go with very little problems. It becomes far more forgiving after levelling up.

Ha yes that was the exact one. The woman sitting outside in the rain at 2am.

I gave up and found another way.

"First you head south until you come to the broken wagon, then take a right up the path until you get to the deer carcass, from there, look for the gap in the rocks by the Birch tree.."

Bitch, I'm not going to remember all that, I stopped paying attention right after "head south".

Reminds me of the quest directions in Morrowind. Though this game does generally have the compass markers.

ok, one beef. The amount of times my ****ing outfits have been reset between first and second maps.

Is this a regular occurring thing? I only opened up the second map last night and it reset my outfits 2 separate times. With everything I had looted it took my a half hour to get them reloaded.

It has happened to me a few times where I had forced equipment changes. It seems to reset your current outfit. I thought of making a backup outfit slot but then I'd have to create another again should it reset one. Also might get confusing if I change something. I just hope it doesn't happen to much. It would be worse if I had heaps of loot but thankfully I didn't. I've already accidentally sold my sneaking outfit (and I don't know where) because something like this happened before and I must have thought I was selling all my loot because the sneaking outfit wouldn't have had the coloured shield next to it.

Can you have more than 3 outfit slots?

I don't think so. I had my main one, a sneaking one and a fancy dress one because that was more of a thing in the first game. I don't think I have use for the fancy one anymore since I seem to get more speed and charisma bonuses from my shiney armour. I also wear perfume lol. But two of my outfit slots are absolutely borked at the moment and I haven't bothered fixing them yet, just as long as my main one is right.

Yeah had it once already and it's once too much 😂 hope they patch it

The lack of funds from vendors is a bit disappointing. I've got a bunch of helmets and other armour stored on my horse that I can't sell coz they're broke losers. And I've got a ridiculous amount of jewellery in my lodging crate I can't sell either.

I only just discovered Kuttenburg last night and haven't entered yet, I'm hoping there's a few traders there where I can make some serious money.

I raided a cottage full of deserters and then a ruin full of bandits last night and got some serious gear - upgraded most of my armour and weapons. Probably my favourite aspect of these kind of games.

I've had to discipline myself and only loot items with a minimum value because otherwise I just stock up on stuff with nowhere to sell and become a loot goblin.

Basically helmets, leg armour and gloves that I'm finding now being worth between $1k to $2k. I have a stupid amount of dies, badges and jewellery. Enough potions to make me overencumbered on their own so I now carry just one of each beside saviour. Don't even bother with food and weapons amymore. Books I get pretty excited about - have a good 30+ in my chest that I can make some serious coin off. If the traders bought everything I could just upgrade all my gear and still make money but them selling/buying specific stuff nerfs that.

I would also like to know what I've done to lose status in a certain town. I rode through one last night and the villagers chased me down the road and I had to kill them. No idea what I had done as I'm pretty careful not to do illegal stuff in the villages.

I got a major beef with the main questline where you get the sword for the blacksmith .

It turns out the guy claiming to be the hermit is an imposter , but he has a book that shows where the sword location is at.

-when you first encounter him you have a chance to pickpocket because he is asleep. But if your pickpocket skill is not high enough he always wakes up. This is the easiest chance to grab the clue you need. But when you are playing blind you have no hint that is what you need to do . So you go and do an errand quest for him .

-when you return there are a group of knights waiting for you. They ask you to help them beat the imposter ,who is a wanted man . Attacking them is not really an option because they wreck you .
So you accept their offer and help them .
When you are about to go in it says you have a chance to save the imposter , but if you get anywhere near him he kills you.
So you aid the knights in killing him .

-Then it tells you that you need the CLUE which I already spoke of. But its no longer on the body of the imposter hermit.
As you search the area the knights instantly tell you to leave ( even after you have helped them) . If you stay more than 30 seconds they kill you .
Which is abit stupid after you aided them . This is where you get stuck in a cycle of constantly reloading because you dont have a heckin'g clue where to look . You only have about 30 seconds before you get killed .

-Then you have no choice but to look up what you need to do on google. It turns out the clue is underneath 3 sacks.
Not just one sack but three ! lifting the sacks takes ages .
they tucked right into the corner and hard to see . You need to do this to get the book clue where the sword is .
Finding that clue playing blind while the knights chase you tell you to leave , is a piss take .
Even when you know where to look you are racing against the clock to not get killed .

Horrible design IMO

I just went back later and the knights weren't there anymore and found the book. You only have to pick up the sacks, turn around and drop them.

I'm starting to buy so much junk just so the vendor has enough coin to cover what I'm selling. Now I'm getting bogged down in crafting materials instead of loot. Poor Pebbles is lugging around tonnes of iron, steel, weapon parts and skins lol

Why is this game so god damn expensive? $145 on the PS store and $111 on Amazon.

Any cheaper PS5 versions out there? Sorry being lazy.

EDIT: $99 at JB is best I could find.

Spent a solid hour or so last night exploring Kuttenberg and trying to mark each vendor then selling all my excess gear. Made a bit of money but moreso upgraded my armour and horse tack to the maximum available. Looking forward to my next fight now - finally got a high enough helmet with a flip down mask!
