This game is sweet sometimes, it really is :D

Undefeated in the division :thumbsu:

Re: Oakland Raiders: "The Black Hole"

Hue Jackson speaks very well too, can see him as future head coach. The Behind The Shield online interviews by Jeanette are informative and classy.

Quietly confident this week, looking forward to One's coverage in the morning. First Live game on FTA this year I believe.

Re: Oakland Raiders: "The Black Hole"

No win today but the performance was very entertaining and a great effort. Particularly the first half.

The Raiders are number 1 in penalties. Definitely makes it harder to win and/or stretch a lead.

Loved watching the team play today Live, McFadden was exciting to watch. Other teams seem boring by comparison :)

Re: Oakland Raiders: "The Black Hole"

He's been great all year but I think Jacoby cost us the game with that fumble.

Two exciting teams to watch.

Re: Oakland Raiders: "The Black Hole"

That was a BS performance by the Raiders coaches in the second half.
Up 24-14 should've smoked them. Instead give up 7-24.

There were a few odd calls. The wildcat with Ford on 3rd and 4 inside their ten was an odd choice that lost a yard. Campbell was playing well, let him put it in the end zone. There were also a few other 2nd and 3rd and short where we were all going long with no one in for a dump off or short slant. I know that tends to be our offense but when the D is coming, wouldn't it be good to have someone he can get it to quickly?

Not a terrible performance but their kickoff return followed two plays later by MJD with the 30 yard TD really really hurt.

Re: Oakland Raiders: "The Black Hole"

Found this in another forum.
What it would take for Oakland to make playoffs...

OAK as AFC WEST Division Champs at 9-7

Need:
1 KC loss (@stl; vs ten)
AND
1SD loss (@cinn; @den)

OAK as a Wildcard (This is where you need to strap in and clear out the morning fog)….

Generally speaking…3 (or more) teams within 3 or more divisions must tie at 9-7. OAK wins ALL strength of victory comparisons with all potential 9-7 teams when there is a > 3way > 3 division 9-7 tie (not including AFC West teams). Note 1: OAK loses with a 2 team 9-7 tie (with Jets or Baltimore). And, since Balt and NY already have 9 wins, the only way to get a 2 team 9-7 tie would be if Jets or Balt have a 10-6 or better record. Note 2: Any AFC west 9-7 ties with SD or KC are meaningless since OAK wins all AFC West division tiebreakers.

OK, more specifically….

OAK as 5 seed
A. 1 Loss by SD (@cinn; @den) OR 1Loss by KC (@stl; vs tenn)
PLUS…
9-7 jets (@pitt; @Chi; vs buff) AND 9-7 bal (vs NO; @cle; vs cinn)
PLUS
1 Loss by MIA (vs buff; vs det; @NE)

OAK as 6 seed:
A. 1 Loss by SD (@cinn; @den) OR 1Loss by KC (@stl; vs tenn)
PLUS….
9-7 jets OR 9-7 bal (ie one team 10-6 or better = OK)
PLUS….
1 Loss by MIA (vs buff; vs det; @NE)
PLUS….
9-7 record for the AFC south second place team (i.e. creating a 3 way/3 div 9-7 tie)…
Note 3: Indy must beat Jax for this seed 6 scenario to play out.

B. 1 Loss by SD (@cinn; @den) OR 1Loss by KC (@stl; vs tenn)
PLUS….
9-7 bal
PLUS….
9-7 Miami with a 7-5 afc conf record (ie must beat Buff and NE and lose to Det)
Note 4: Miami at 9-7 with a 6-6 conf record will void this Seed 6 possibility for OAK

Aside:
Jax (@ indy; vs wash;@hou)
Indy (vs jax; @oak; vs Tenn)

Re: Oakland Raiders: "The Black Hole"

You know, I learned something today, how a safety is scored, nice one Groves.

Tebow put up a good 1st starting full game for the Bronco's, the boy can rush, can throw.

Jacoby redeemed himself this week, like the way he work's with Campbell. McFadden's cracked 1000+ yards. Bring on the Colts, then KC to go for the division clean sweep.

Re: Oakland Raiders: "The Black Hole"

Yet another game we let go, penalties etc..
Jacoby got us going early again, what a champ.

Lets see if we can finish the season at Kansas with a clean sweep of the division.

Re: Oakland Raiders: "The Black Hole"

Ford is the first Raider to return 3 kick-offs for touchdowns in a season.

The rookie has more than any other Raider in history already.

Along with his week 9 performance against Kansas, has been named AFC Special Teams Player week 16.

His name is Jacoby....Jacoby Ford.

Re: Oakland Raiders: "The Black Hole"

Michael Bush stepped into McFadden's shoes today against KC. Great win, division sweep.

Loved how Jason Campbell and Jacoby Ford have worked this season.

8-8 prediction rings true sorb. Good call.
