Um, well start with $500 then. Whatever.

Its not "whatever" you said $5k, there is a big difference between that and 10% of it when you get your numbers wrong.

If you tip the last game of the round you will know exactly what your situation is going into that game. You can't lose if you know your bank.

Of course you can at F7, unless 5 or 6 all lose there tip before you then knowing you will be down to 4 people after this round means nothing with so many variables in this competition. Then what if others also choose the final match?

There is also a rule - if everyone gets their tip wrong - everyone goes through to the next week. So if you back against your tip and by that stage of the round (last game) everyone else has got their tip wrong - THEN YOU REALLY CAN'T LOSE.

I know there is that rule, but playing best case scenario out in your head is hardly going to guarantee a profit at F7. Once you are down to if your tip wins then you win the $50k prize things are remarkably simple.

Either your tip gets up, you get the $50,000. Or your tip loses so you pocket a winning line bet and go through to the next round. This happened to me twice near the end of the year I played. I know what I'm talking about.

It doesnt take a genius to work that out. But it still has zero relevance to chucking $5k (or less now you say) against your tip at F7 with so many variables left in that you cannot cover for and will send you broke.

I know what im talking about.

Not sure if this question has been asked before but how on earth does anyone last 10 rounds in this comp then decide to pick massive outsiders like GWS (6) or Melbourne (3) in this round? Do Sportingbet just have dummy selections or are some people just that silly (or gutsy depending on your view)?

I was thinking the exact same thing??? Why go 10 rounds and then pick GWS to beat Geelong...makes no sense to me...I thought all non-selections go to the Friday night game?

Hey guys,

Im just wondering how you know what the final line selection is for NRL LMS. When i picked South Syndey early in the week they were -8.5. Then by Friday they were -9.0 and now they are -9.5 on the Sportingbet website. Does anyone know what the actual line they have to beat is? I cant find it anywhere on the website or in the rules. When I log in it shows my selection and who has selected what team but it doesnt list the lines for each game so i am assuming it is just the final line on the sportingbet website at the time of the game.

What do others think?

Its whenever you made the selection...so you get -8.5

however if the line moved the other way (say to -6.5) then you would log in again and re-select so you get the better line.

Hopefully that makes sense

Yeah that makes sense. Do you know why they don't send that to you in the confirmation email? Th fact that they didnt say i had selected -8.5 made me think that maybe it is variable and thats why they dont confirm an actual number with me.

Also, when you log in, it seems weird that they dont tell you your actual selection, they just tell you who you picked.

Yeh not sure as im out of NRL this year and AFL havent started line picks lol, but last year im certain thats how it worked.

you would think they should tell you what line you picked though, very odd. Sorry cant find last years emails... must have deleted them all.

Yeah thats no worries mate, thanks for that.

I tried contacting Sportingbet and asking them but they said the Sunday staff weren't sure. I sent them a tweet this morning so hopefully they answer that. Would be good to know before the game starts so i know what I'm cheering for. I guess I'll just be hoping the bunnies win by about 20 just to be sure. Haha

Yeah on the competition page it just looks exactly like the AFL one does with who picked what team but has no mention of the line. So maybe it is just a glitch in their system or something.

has anyone been able to log in - I keep getting an new screen asking if I want to participate in a racing comp - can't get past it.
Yeh, going against points starts now. Went Fremantle to beat the line.

ive gone Geelong, cant see Brisbane troubling them 30 points should be easy done, will probably change between now and friday though :)

Remember Geelong don't put teams away on the road. They just do enough to win, e.g the GWS game and Port game where they only played one qtr in each game.. Looks like they will rest a few players this week as well - Bartel.

Brown and Merrett are back this week for Brisbane.
