They haven't stopped saying that, like forever.Government has officially committed to help fund a stadium. Now for all the haters to come out and say it should be money spent else where
Exactly they will be the noisy minority who winge about everything. They haven't stopped saying that, like forever.
Spend nothing on overseas aid, nothing on defense, NBN is (was) a waste of money, no 2nd Sydney airport, no mobile towers in my area, don't dig anything up, nothing on renewable anything! etc etc etc

What people think & whats been said is now irrelevant. Bellerive is not what the powers want. Its a bugger to get to & from as its on a beach side with close suburban homes & limited road access or parking. When it was built they waffled about using ferries & other such rot to justify it.Exactly they will be the noisy minority who winge about everything.
Quick question guys are you in favour of a new Stadium or should Bellerive be upgraded. I think Bellerive is awesome and an upgrade would be way good enough. Or is it the central to Hobart CBD that's the issue.

Devils near another huge milestone, prepare for 'rapid expansion'
The Devils are nearing yet another milestone after smashing their initial membership targetswww.afl.com.au
I'm sure in the initial stages they'd be frugal about what expenses are being thrown around.Hopefully they are investing all that unexpected money into things that will create ongoing revenue for the club and not just giving themselves all a healthy payrise.
200k members at $10
16,500 guernsey's at let's say average $80
= around $3.5 million
You would hope the current staff costs are under 500k, so that's 3 million that should go into property, crypto or a nice savings account for the club.

That money will have been used up or accounted for already. Some on logo & jumper design, lots on travel and on office + IT + admin costs. Staring up a big business which this will be is not cheap. The AFL will be spending/backing a lot of expense. The next 3 or 4 years will cost a fortune with little coming in until 2028.Hopefully they are investing all that unexpected money into things that will create ongoing revenue for the club and not just giving themselves all a healthy payrise.

The quirky, homegrown character affectionately represents Tasmania…pulsetasmania.com.au
I was today years old when I found out rum'un is a Tasmanian expression.
I will also defend this ugly little freak with my life.
Oh, I knew it was borrowed from somewhere but in terms of in Australia I was unaware it was only used hereSomeone can jump in and correct me, but I think it may actually be Scottish, but Tassie is the only, or main, part of Australia that uses it.
Either way great nickname, I like how they’re leaving in to it, the same way the jack jumpers have in the NBL.
Still waiting for them to squeeze in “beastly careless” somehow.
I had no idea. Mainlanders asked me what it meant in a group chat today!I was today years old when I found out rum'un is a Tasmanian expression.
