What's the incentive for GWS to let him go? They arent going to have cap issues (not that he'd be on much anyway), will get picks from Cumming and Perryman leaving, Sam Taylor misses a 3rd of the season so they need some depth options and they are contending

If someone offered him 5 years and he says to GWS "match that or let me go"...

They can let him go next year. I know there's like 20 guys in contract moving this year but I just dont see why GWS will want to do it, theres literally no benefit to them. I'd be keeping him

100% this. Even if he asked to leave youd tell him to wait 1 more year and see what happens which I suspect he would just do knowing he doesnt have much of a choice

He’ll leave at the end of this year most likely. We will do well out of the trade.

He would need to play a lot of senior footy this year for you to do well out of the trade.

No. We are in a unique position where he is held out of the best backline in the league. Has performed well when had a chance.
Saints already have offered him a monster contract.
And quality defenders are very hard to find.
All adds up to us doing well in trade.

I mean that is possible because silvagni has a history of idiocy. But statistics say that if he isn't best 22 this year and he's ooc that you are unlikely to get a high first round pick in a trade (it's possible but I wouldn't bet on it).

you described literally how you wont do well in a trade if he performs well but cant get in the best backline in the league. he be sought after and unless gws planning to finish close to bottom they wont get any pre season draft leverages.

most likely take whichever team he wants to go to if he is leaving.
