I'd be asking who offers the best deal to Leek. If he asks to be traded to a club it won't matter what draft picks other clubs would give.Who’s silly enough to offer more than that is the question I’d ask?

Mid 2nd rounder at best… 28-36?
NM should throw maybe 22 at him. A bit high for mine.
Saints pick 24 if Battle leaves?
Tigers Pick 29?
If compensation picks push these out by 3-4 then it might be about right.

I knowNot OOC.
If someone offered him 5 years and he says to GWS "match that or let me go"...What's the incentive for GWS to let him go? They arent going to have cap issues (not that he'd be on much anyway), will get picks from Cumming and Perryman leaving, Sam Taylor misses a 3rd of the season so they need some depth options and they are contending
They can let him go next year. I know there's like 20 guys in contract moving this year but I just dont see why GWS will want to do it, theres literally no benefit to them. I'd be keeping himIf someone offered him 5 years and he says to GWS "match that or let me go"...
100% this. Even if he asked to leave youd tell him to wait 1 more year and see what happens which I suspect he would just do knowing he doesnt have much of a choiceThey can let him go next year. i reckon gws should have cashed in this year on him as he will fetch a lot less next year when out of contract
they could have got a cheap depth player to replace him as the taylor and buckley backup
Saints pick 8He was drafted at 15, what do you think cashing him in would have returned?
Saints pick 8
Definitely pick 8I don't think so
He’ll leave at the end of this year most likely. We will do well out of the trade.
No. We are in a unique position where he is held out of the best backline in the league. Has performed well when had a chance. He would need to play a lot of senior footy this year for you to do well out of the trade.

Saints already have offered him a monster contract.
And quality defenders are very hard to find.
All adds up to us doing well in trade.

Don’t kid yourself … if he leaves it’ll be for a very nice pickYou would’ve done better out of a trade this year when he was under contract
Another year playing 2s will only decrease his value
you described literally how you wont do well in a trade if he performs well but cant get in the best backline in the league. he be sought after and unless gws planning to finish close to bottom they wont get any pre season draft leverages.No. We are in a unique position where he is held out of the best backline in the league. Maybe Mr Aleer likes GWS and signs an extension
Not all players want to come back home
Personally i think he stays
