Thought you people would have known better than to try and talk to a known drug user about this subject.

The issue of drug use is a little close to home for Fully Sour.

Rottweilers, along with pit bulls, are generally considered a ' dangerous' breed of dog and most States have legislation effecting tight restriction on their breeding and being kept in urban areas. Next step from this is banning the breed. I believe there is one suburban council in Melbourne, Hobson's Bay if my memory serves me correctly, where pit bulls must be desexed otherwise they will be banned by the municipality. The point of this post was to illustrate that society has the foolish attitude that the dog is the problem rather than the owner, and this was connected to the heroin thread by means of the same attitiude.. i e society believes the drug is the problem, not the user. It's a very dangerous attitude and will do nothing to solve the problem, only make it worse.

rubbish, rottweillers arent banned anywhere, and there is no restriction on who can breed them etc.

this only applies to pit bulls, which i believe are banned in australia (pure breeds) though there are that many crosses its pretty much pointless.

Most drink drivers hit trees anyway, not kill innocent people.

yeh tell that to the families who have had their mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters etc killed by drink drivers

yes, and i believe you were talking about pittys there, and i agreed with you, although its australia wide, not just hobsons.

baa baa, what an intelligent well thought answer. if you don't think drink driving is an issue maybe you should join an emergency service so you can see first hand what drink drivers do.

And perhaps yuo should doorknock a few pensioners and see how many are $hitting themselves about home invasions and bashings. Get your priorities in order.

And do please try to improve your spelling. Map 131, Adelaide UBD.

Sorry Evade but you are wrong, they are banned from being imported, they are only on the restricted breed register in Australia, which governs who can own them & how they are kept & must be muzzled & on lead when in public, though QLD has taken it one step further, by going into peoples backyards & stealing any dog that they think even resembles a pitbull & destroys them, even though those dogs are loving family pets & have done nothing wrong & many times they have absolutely no pitbull in them.

It is described as the "dog holocaust" up there.

Any other state in Australia, as long as they are registered, the owners follows the rules & the dogs don't cause any harm, then they are legal, if any are found roaming & no owner comes forward, most shelters & councils will try & rehome them.

The actual saying is "the more people I meet, the more I like my dog", sorry had to correct that, carry on. :D
