Russian reports its figures were abmysmal- the X Factor standard of ratings. It won't last.

The sad thing is the old days of Fast Forward were bloody hilarious. Put those on repeat and they will get more viewers.

I'm surprised by this thread, because any other sketch show on commercial TV in the last decade (since Full Frontal) makes LLL look pure comic genius.

I hope no-one posting on this thread was a fan of Comedy Inc, Skithouse, The Sketch Show, or Big Bite.

a) That should be "(including Full Frontal)"
b) The Sketch Show is far superior to any of those products...the first time you see it, at any rate. Ten has a very nasty habit of repeating episodes.

a) I hope you’re confusing it with Totally Full Frontal.

b) All credibility lost right there.

The Sketch Show was hugely funny compared to this drivel.

They didn't take long to deliver jokes like this pile of trash did.

It proved once again, British comedy = 10x better than Aussie humour.

Absolutely. :)

Come back Shaun - Compare his year hosting the logies to the idiots that compered it this year. Its like comparing a butcher with a brain surgeon!

LLL was really disappointing.

Some sketches were far too long. Made even worse when they weren't even funny in the first place.

Seemed to spend too much time trying to impress the audience they were live, rather than spending some time actually writing and re-writing sketches.

In the end, it came across as a dodgy law revue production.

Dave O'Neil's news bit was good, but most of it was very average.

William McInness is not a comedian. He is a good actor, who can appear in a comedy sketch, as seen in his apperance on the Micallef Programme a couple of years back, but the delivery on LLL just wasn't there. They should have gone for a more seasoned comedy performer as guest host.

It's my favourite Australian comedy of all time, and it is not fair to compare, but The D-Gen's Late Show managed to get a good mix of live stuff and sketches which may be worth looking at. More importantly though, it is evident that a lot of time was spent drafting, writing and re-writing sketches. The same deal with The Micallef Programme.

Maybe it's because on the D-Gen and Micallef the people working on those shows respect each other enough to be openly critical at the writing process of when stuff is going to be funny, or not funny. Here, you have a mix of older comics and younger talent, which hasn't quite clicked yet.

"The Big Gig", "Australia You're Standing in It", "The Gillies Report", "The Late Show", "Frontline", "The Micallef Program", "CNNNNN", "The Chaser Decides" and numerous shows hosted by Andrew Denton. All from the ABC. Tells you something I think.

one word the show was ********house if ya know what I mean. I saw like 1/2 of it and I got so bored I decided to play tetris instead. I mean I love the sketch show and comedy Inc as well as full frontal but this gives a bad name to comedy even the supernanny sketch couldn't make me laugh

Saw bits and pieces.

Very ordinary television. Half the material (and comedians) seem to be still stuck in the 80's heyday of live comedy.

I thought the O'Neil, O'Nightly, O'News was the highlight of the show

My mate told me one sketch from the show where an old person drove in to a senior car park and next to it there was a Senior (with the little mexican thing over the o) and a guy rode into it with a donkey..

That seems like pretty random funnyness. Maybe it was because i was drunk but seemed funny to me.
