Yeah for sure, and Ararats confidence will be up a notch with the draw against lexton last week, even if it was only a draw...

Yeah exactly every couple of points counts at the end of the season, even though Navarre have more to play for, There will be nothing sweater than nocking off navarre and not letting them play finals

Ahh yeah hurt a bit playing them last time and only losing by 7 points, be big celebrations if the eagles can get another win

yeah bloody oath and especially against our closet rivals, there always good games to watch against navarre

Dont mean to kill your confidence or anything guys but navarre are a much better side than lexton!!! Lexton are slow and lack any real gun players yet as has been said on previous threads navarre have a top notch spine and have some very handy players around it!! They have knocked off skipton and pushed rokewood all the way!!! I would think they would be very fired up for this game and can see a big win goin there way!!!
Sorry boys but lexton have got nothing on navarre!!! Good effort last week though and keep up the good work!! It been great to see you guys close the gap a bit this year and get a win on the board!! :thumbsu:

I heard that skiptons win on the weekend was given to them. Apparantly one of the umpires gave a free kick away which ended in a goal then gave another immediately without having a centre ball up. 2 goals in no time at the end of a close game is pretty devastating. I wonder what made the umpire award a win to skipton on a silver platter?
Was at the game Madrooter and it was a very good match, very free flowing, it was poor end to a very good game, skipton had kicked a goal from a free kick and on the way back to the middle the umpire awarded a free kick 20 out right in front for abuse wich is pretty soft in the context of the game and pretty much handed the game to them, i always thought a free kick after a goal for something not real dramatic went back to the centre for the ruck man to take it, all i can say is poor effort on the umpires:thumbsdown: it also looks like C/L are doing what they do best and are starting to hit there straps at the right time of the year despite that little set back:eek:

Haha yeah wass just giving the team a bit of confidence and yes your right they are a better team, but every time we have played navarre they have been close matches watever the positions are on the ladder

Yeah i no what your saying and good luck to you guys...nothing better than seeing a team have a bit of success after not having any for a few years!!! Would be quite happy to eat my words and see you guys get up!!! :thumbsu::thumbsu:

haha thanks mate should be a good game:thumbsu:

i think Navarre will win thisw match by know less than 10 goals, (pending weather) they have to much to lose if they don't, 2 weeks from finals and i think they would be quietly confident of taking it right up to the 3 Heavy weights if not causing a big upset in the finals

The game of the round this week will be between Navarre and lexton and who ever win this one will play finals. With so much riding on this game who does everythink will win

Navarre are a much better team than lexton and i would expect them to win by quite a bit!!! The wheels seem to have fallen of lexton mid way through the season, the firts time we played them the seemed to be a pretty impressive unit who looked as though they could almost be the premiership roughy. Is there any reason for this drop off?

How do you rate your chances against Rokewood Skip???

Rokewood have been the bench mark so far this season which noone has been able to over come only a draw to date. They should if you go on ladder position be able to win the big one this year but when its comes to finals time that doesn't matter and it will which team that can adapt to the bigger crowds and the pressure the quickest which will win,

but this years finals series will be between three team rokewood skipton and cargnham can't really see anyone else getting close to these three teams

Lexton: Eamon Johnson, Tim Oliver, Eamon Stringer, Mark Shaw & Paul Sheehan!
Navarre: Wayne Driscoll, Louis Hannett, Damien Scott, David Lang & Ben Martin!

Good to see navarre are realing on some youngster, but if they do win this week will the youngster be able to cope with the pressure of seniors finals footy

So if Navarre see Seniors finals action, are Lang and Hannet both going to play full games for 17's and then Seniors? That's a pretty big ask, but the Seniors side will probably need them to play a full game since they pretty much get in Navarre's best for Seniors most weeks.

Is that allowed?
Playing 2 finals matches on the same day?
Wouldnt the 17's and then Seniors be played at different venues as well?

If Navarre seniors keep their form up going into finals then its going to be a very tough decision to wat Hannett or Lang play in!

yeah i know they only way navarre will have that decision is if they aren't allowed to play to games in one week end, or if there 17 team lose and navarre seniors knock of one of the top three teams and play in the prelim final at ararat
