you could possibly sneak N. jacobs in at $6 or $7 and M. Ramsey at $5 or $6 and i would certainly take Natte at that price in the 2s
Spot on Matador. Jaco has never played a bad grandfinal, and Ramsey is a gun!!!! If Jardine doesnt play, Stasse could have a field day in the ruck. So he could come close!!!!

I was just wondering if there will be anyone at the ground saturday not affiliated with carngham linton that will actually be barracking for them. I believe they are not everyones cup of tea so they have a bit to come up against. Part of me believes though that is a little bit of motivation for them to try and stick it up everyone else

It'd be good to have him back, especially to help with the younger blokes coming through, but i spose it all depends on (i) whether he wants to play there (ii) how much $$ he wants and (iii) whether the committee could justify that $$ considering clunes need key position players far more than they need on-ballers.

I'd be very surprised if he went back to Lakers - i'd suggest he'd stick to the country leagues where he can make more $$

I don't know Jason all that well but my mail is that he would like to finish his career at Clunes. I think he is around 30 so it would be very doubtful he would go back to Lakers before a move back to Clunes.

any truth to the rumour that MacGowan of Skipton is heading back home to the NCFL?

also heard that Bigmore (Navarre) may be returning to the north central too
Which MacGowan would that be. Mark has really struggled to play, and from what i've heard struggled to get a game in the ones in the NCFL. Brad may be a better prospect. Has Bigmore ever played seniors in the NCFL?, always rumoured to be heading there, but never seems to make the move.

Wedderburn 05

I would have thought Lismore/Derrinallum might be keen since they were old Western Plainians. It would be less travel than Lake Bolac

From what i'm told both Lismore/Derri and SMW have applied to change leagues in 2005 and 2006 but the VCFL denied them because they want the mininera footy league to continue. I'm also told that some of the MDFL teams from the warrnambool side want to leave the league, so the league would probably need to fold for Lexton Plains to get any extra teams next year.

Rumour I've heard is that Eason is leaving Dunnstown to coach carngham, don't no how reliable that source is though.

he has resigned from coaching but i wood doubt that rumour .Joe Gilbert to carngham i dont think he will leave either, but you never no .Hill joint coach that sounds more likely maybe with grigg

STArnaud would be luck to get the macgowan brothers back to the club. both are very good players, Mark being a quality midfielder that gets the hard contested ball and Brad is a very accomplished backman that can play on all most any forward! As for bigmore wont be heading anywhere has had a knee reco half way through the year. Mark wont be any chance as he goes under the knife to have a knee reco next week as well.
Yes bigmore has played in the NCFL for the redbacks in 2005 and i would think he played seniors there as he made the interleague side!

What a great grand final between two very competitive clubs. The skills were great, the intensity was high, and was played in fairly good spirits. J-Mac was humble in defeat and spoke highly of CL as Rob Waters did about Natte. Well done to the two teams for putting on such a good spectacle for the league.

J-Mac will cop a lot for losing the Grand Final but I'm sure not many guys have taken a team to a grand final at 21 years of age.

Rob will cop crap on here about buying a flag, I can't accept that. He's a great coach and I think the two coaches got the best out of their respective clubs and put on one of the better grand finals I have ever seen.:thumbsu:

One compliment for J-Mac was that he was having a serious dip on Saturday. I think both Blackford and McKay went MIA against Carngham and Natte.

Best Players

CL:

Stasse: Chopped Jardine to ribbons and did his usual thing around the ground. If he doesn't win CL's player of the finals I'd be very surprised.

Ladiges: Kicked a few telling goals and had a good work rate for the day.

J Raynor: I thought Raynor was very solid in defence.

Natte:

J McNamee: He played 4 quarters of footy and his 3 clearances late in the game nearly got Natte back into the game.

S Ross: Steven played 3 quarters of footy.

Jacobs: I think he set the tone early but ran out of puff by the end.

It's been a lot of fun watching this year and hopefully you guys can retain your lists next year.

Heard a whisper J Mac signed with Royal Park on thursday night. Can anyone confirm this?????????

He won't go there.

Most coaches that have a grand final on a weekend have training on the Thursday night. So I would have to say there is zero chance of the above statement being true.

Just on that, which coaching positions are people expecting to open?

A fair recap there OSB but you missed the highlight of the day. A certain person from another LPFL club giving the umpires the biggest spray in history. "Worst umpiring he has seen in 20 years at any level".

Maybe umpires are like cops and take offense to seeing a guilty offender get off.

A knee reco for Bigmore would be the end for him considering the amount of pies he guts and his sheep dog style of play. You cant be the wide receiver 20kgs over weight.

Obviously your not worth that much, as you couldnt even get on the ground for the 2's Whacker...

ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D
Not sure wat this is about. U mite be trying to figure out people at your club but u must of mistaken me from someone else
