Round 1:

Navarre v Ararat
Rokewood v Illabarook
Skipton v Lexton
Carngham v Natte @ Austar Arena (Night)

Heres four winners. Navarre will get a good warm up for season 08. Rokewood will have too much class and too many big forwards to cover. Skipton to limp in, in a close one. Carngham to give Natte a lesson in hard ball :D

Round 1:

Navarre v Ararat
Rokewood v Illabarook
Skipton v Lexton
Carngham v Natte

All self explainitory really navarre to show plenty of promise with a few handy recruits and Ararat to struggle all year. Rokewood by 10 goals. Skipton at home if it was playing at the LRR (Lexton Recreation Reserve) i would of gone lexton. Carngham, with handy recruits and natte with a few leaving and not many coming in, will be to strong but should be a good night

Navarre v Ararat
Rokewood v Illabarook
Skipton v Lexton
Carngham v Natte

Navarre over Ararat by alot. Think Ararat will be better than last season but they were along way behind! Navarre shold come home with the bacon pretty easily in this one i would think.

Rokewood look to have recuited very well and will easily account for Illabarook. Would think that Rokewood will beat them in all areas...speed toughness ect. Looking at the players they had and the players they've picked up they would have to have 12-16 guys capable of running through the mid feild!

Lexton have picked up well but they did have alot of ground to make up. Looks like they've picked up around 12 players but 8 of them would need to be guns if they think they can play with the big boys of the league in skipton!

And lastly Carngham to give Natte a bit of a footy lesson. Carngham have picked up some quality and it seems Natte have lost half there guns from the granny last year i.e Quinny not in the back line will hurt them alot and the loss of the goal scoring power of J-Mac and Brad Ross would have to hurt Natte's chances this year!

Round 1:

Navarre v Ararat
Rokewood v Illabarook
Skipton v Lexton
Carnghan v Natte @ Austar Arena (Night)

NAVARRE def Ararat
ROKEWOOD def Illabarook
LEXTON def Skipton
CARNGHAM def Natte

I think Navarre to much class and to quick for ararat. Rokewood in a close on at home against Illabarook. Think it may well take a little time for all Rokewoods recruits to gel and fire. Carngham to beat a competitive Natte under lights and I'll be loyal and tips us to upset Skipton.

Cheers

Navarre v Ararat
Rokewood v Illabarook
Skipton v Lexton
Carnghan v Natte @ Austar Arena (Night)

Ararat will improve but i think it will be on their home turf they register their first win this year. Rokewood would have too many goal kickers for Illabarook to cover. Skipton to give Lexton a bath. Natte to run over the top of C/L late in the last quarter. Unfortunately this is the opposite to what happened in the GF last year. Clearly the game of the round though

tips are
Navarre by over 100 points
Rokewood by 45 points
Skipton by 13 points
C/L by 50 points
Navarre will Sh$t in, Rokewood try and stamp some authority early in the season after there early exit in last years final series. Skipton to get over Lexton in a close one Lexton have alot of new faces and may take 4-5 games to gell And Skipton list is ageing and have not recruited well this year by all reports but on there home ground are hard to beat.C/L to give Natte a touch up big time on the big stage, Have not recruited well Natte and have lost heaps C/L on the other hand have lost a few but gained very well and to give Natte a touch up, Played Ballan in a practice match and touched them up with 6 senior players not taking part looks promising signs again out that way.

Navarre over Ararat
Rokewood to beat Illabrook
Skipton to good for Lexton
C/L over Natte

Can only go of last years form everybodys even at round 1

Round 1:

Navarre v Ararat - easily but with an improved eagles (still off the pace though)
Rokewood v Illabarook - should account for illabarook
Skipton v Lexton - in a close one, skipton on last years form only
Carnghan v Natte @ Austar Arena (Night) - too strong

(Log in to remove this ad.)

NAVARRE vs Ararat - Should start the the year off with big win
ROKE/COR vs Illabarook - Will gel as a team and thump Illabarook
SKIPTON vs Lexton - We quickly forget how good Skipton were last year and will have a big win particularly as they have some excellent recruits as well.
CARN/LINT vs Natte Bealiba - Have heard C/L are very fit and with more inclusions of height and speed and will be far to good for Natte.

Just a thought biff maybe you could edit your first post and list everyone who has entered and then have a running tally next to there names just to keep track of everyone

I like your train of thought. I was just going through this and thinking it would be a nightmare to tally up each week.

Navarre v Ararat - Lean year ahead for the Eagles and Navarre should improve
Rokewood v Illabarook - Flashy team to outclass the most disciplined coached team in the LPFL.
Skipton v Lexton - Skipton to show us why you can count their home and away losses for the last 3 years on 1 hand.
Carnghan v Natte @ Austar Arena (Night) - CL better than last year, Natte worse = a simple equation.

hey would like to be in the tipping comp think it is a great idea!
here r my tips for round 1.
C/L to beat natte in g/f rematch, to many good recruits.
R/Wood to beat Illabrook.
Lexton to beat Skipton, Skipton look very suspect down back, and Mckay out, with not much depth on the bench.
Navare to beat Ararat, loss wont be as big as everyone expects!

I've updated the tips on the first post of the thread. 10 scored 4 but this week should be a little harder to tip. Only one definite IMO.

Round 2
Illabarook v CL
Lexton v Navarre
Natte v Skipton
Ararat v Rokewood

Round 2
Illabarook v C/Linton - Great fighting spirit with more quality senior players to return this week
Lexton v Navarre - Pushed Skipton all the way last week and should be to good at home
Natte v Skipton - Surprised a few people by their game against C/L but will run Skipton off their legs and create more scoring opportunities
Ararat v Rokewood - Will be far too good with more experienced and quality players even on the big ground at Ararat - big percentage booster

Round 2
Illabarook v CL Easily. Enough said
Lexton v Navarre Will be better for the run together because with the number of new players
Natte v Skipton To much run and at home
Ararat v Rokewood Well you know...

I've updated the tips on the first post of the thread. 10 scored 4 but this week should be a little harder to tip. Only one definite IMO.

Round 2
Illabarook v CL to strong
Lexton v Navarre this will be very close was unsure, flipped a coin
Natte v Skipton again a close one
Ararat v Rokewood easily

Round 2
Illabarook v CL
Lexton v Navarre
Natte v Skipton
Ararat v Rokewood

Illabarook V C/LINTON- More match winners at thier disposal.
LEXTON v Navarre- We played well last week, will be close but should sneak over the line at home with a number of key players coming in this week
Natte V SKIPTON- Skipton looked good last week and with a couple of key players returning this week should do the job.
Ararat V ROKEWOOD- Rokewood look to be strong early on, Ararat to be competitive but may struggle to match Rokewoods strngth in forward line for four quarters.
