Heard a story on the way home from the vote count that a mates old man got 20 goals one match and didnt get a vote for the match

this guy traveled from ballarat to play every week and didnt look like much of a player. they must of been bad.

They were very ordinary, got belted by over 400 points a couple of times. Justin Porter kicked 29 against them once, and prickles driscoll kicked 27 i think.

Yeah, he was on the footy show for it. Shame about the club-Navarre and Landsborough had a fair old rivalry going back. It's a shame a lot of clubs have died since the leagues merged, and most probably before as well. Clubs like Marnoo and Landsborough had very proud histories-Landsborough won 3 on the trot as recently as teh 80s.

Ah-thats his old man. And it is one impressive mullet too. Even so-there are two umpires at every game.

Na its not his old man, his old man is the presidant of skipton not the umpire, and i think he did really well to runner up and like you said there is 2 umpires one from each club and they both have to agree, so i don't think there is any favourtism going on

Few players not getting any or many votes and some getting a lot.

Yeah well i think it did the major ones from each club polled really well and it went to the player that had a standout year

Yeah they always are because umpires see different to the coaches, and some coaches might tell there players to do something and they might do it and get the votes for that. also alot of our spectators get the vote cards, don't no about any other teams though

yeah spectators get vote cards at our matches as well, different people each week. That goes for every game in every division
