Quickly - Better start speculating before we hear any official statements, otherwise the story won't be nearly as dramatic!

This is actually none of our business - unless he gets incarcerated for a crime, thus disallowing him to play, then we shouldn't even hear about it. Until that happens this is a non-story -

Some more details.

MELBOURNE livewire Liam Jurrah is being held by police in Alice Springs and is facing questioning over his alleged involvement in a machete attack.

Jurrah, 23, is on personal leave from the Demons, after complications from wrist surgery.

Northern Territory police have confirmed they attended a disturbance at Little Sisters Town Camp on the outskirts of Alice Springs overnight.

"On arrival police found a 35-year-old man with serious head injuries alleged to have been inflicted by a machete," a police spokesperson said.

"Two men aged 23 years are currently in police custody with investigations continuing."

Melbourne confirmed Jurrah's arrest in a statement on its website.

"The Melbourne Football Club has been advised that Liam Jurrah, who is currently on personal leave to deal with family and community issues in Central Australia, is being held by police following an incident overnight," the statement read.

"No charges have been laid."

Police have confirmed they're investigating a second stabbing in Alice Springs where a young man was found lying in a car in a car park.

A 30 year-old female is currently in custody for offences relating to the incident.

Superintendent Michael White said police are investigating if the incidents are linked.

I think the appropriate thing for the media to do now is judge and condemn Jurrah without knowing the facts and then proceed to say how much of a rabble Melbourne is in how now Gary Lyon is done and Stynes has left the club is falling apart. I expect carro to be working on this right now.

But on a serious note, I'm hoping Jurrah was just at the wrong place at the wrong time and didnt do anything himself.

right. Everything on Twitter is false.

Ok.

If you use twitter as a source for something as sensational and serious as this then you are an idiot of the highest order, which is something I already suspected.

Why don't you leave the invective out.

Journo's from HS, The Age and SNF are all over this like a rash on Twitter.
Doesn't mean everyone on twitter is a cowboy...cowboy...
