As there seems to be less and less interest in players for the interleague concept in country victoria, perhaps the idea should be scrapped and at the end of the season a round robin competition involving the premiers of all the major league and another for the minor league teams to play off to see who is the best team in country victoria. A large loot of prizemoney for the winners would keep the clubs fair dinkum in putting their best teams forward. Prizemoney such as 40 000 for major league winners and 20 000 for the minor league perhaps. Perhaps leagues could push their starting dates earlier (although this would be getting increasingly harder with the state of grounds) so that the two finalists could play a curtain raiser game after the TAC cup grand final on grand final day at the g, for the major league and for the minor leagues preliminary final at the g, im sure most footballers would love ot be part of the big stage on the last saturday in september. Their would have to be a groupings stage and rankings put in place, similar to the soccer world cup, such as the clubs, that were in the leagues that were part of playing in division 1 in country championships been split into different groups, with this occuring throughout to make the group stages in the major league teams and perhaps a region breakdownn in groups for the minor leagues. Just imagine watching the mighty gisborne bulldogs taking on the seymour lions on tv on grand final day, or the shane harvey led wakool taking on mount pleasant, or calivil in even a group stage, im sure this would create interest throughout the country viewing public, and even though this is definetly a pipedream it would be great to watch, im sure i will get plenty of riducule for this idea
