Really keen for next season, our midfield brigade is full of upside

Bri, Brit, Centra, Breed on ball and Rowey and Patterson on the wings

Even up forward, Cann in her new HF role which she was really good in, Knight looks like an instant starter, Porter, EJ and Campbell is a nice small forward fleet,

Barnett has proven herself and Clark will get more game time for sure

We've def gotten stronger in the midfield and forward. Even the likes of Breed and Centra can play forward too as taller players

I think we now have defined gaps we can target too for the next couple of years, ruck being the main one as we need to find a successor to Sab

Agree. Ruck, and maybe another key tall at both ends. But given we didn't go with KPP in this draft, prob means we'll see Butler back in defence, Ruby too most likely, where I felt is their best positions. Need someone to pair with Cronin now Livingstone is gone

Clark prob gets paired with Barnett.

Its not, but this is a good start. Probably started last off season tbf, but this is continuing that

42. Violet Patterson (Midfielder, Glenelg)

The Magpies were always going to have a good night given they had access to the best player in the pool. Centra will be appointment viewing for any AFLW fan. Patterson is the daughter of 96-game Magpie Stephen and boasts great work ethic in the middle.

Unsurprisingly, Collingwood opted to take Sale City star Ash Centra with the No.1 pick – just the second in the club's history across both the women's and men's leagues. Centra's calm demeanour, versatility across lines, and elite field kick made her impossible to pass up, and she will slot into the Pies' midfield/forward rotation beautifully alongside the likes of Brianna Davey, Brit Bonnici, and Mikala Cann. Georgia Knight is a neat crumbing forward, standing at 165cm and possessing an impressive goal sense. She will help to bolster a struggling Pies attack that averaged just 22.3 points per game throughout 2024. Meanwhile, South Australian father-daughter option Violet Patterson – who captained the state in this year's Marsh U18 Championships – was taken with pick No.42 after the Pies matched a bid from North Melbourne. Patterson is a 167cm midfielder who offers plenty of speed around the contest, and was eligible to reach Collingwood after dad Stephen played 96 games for the club between 1995 and 2000

Would our trades get the first two numbers? Plus the irish rookie, Ash can decide between 15 and 16
Maybe the irish girl can take Sheridan's number, with breed and the other girl with 12 and 15. Which leaves 21 and 24 for Knight and Patterson
