Imagine you go with the best available at that high in the draft, so you'd think either Harris or Centra.
Maybe with our 2nd rounder, could see who is available for needs.
The fact we should get two players before a bid will be nice.

Looking at our OOC players. Who stays who goes. I assume we will contract our 3 draftees of last year.

Now that Livingstone has retired:

Atkinson I guess being a rookie has a 1 year?
Fowler
Sansonetti
Last years 3 draftees. (we'll obviously keep)

The replacement players in Ingrim, Ivey, Evans, Remmos

You don't trade a pick 1. Its not everyday you get that sort of draft currency and there are some elite talent in the top end of the draft
Even in the mens you wouldn't do that.

Yeah, might be over a few years, but don't think we can cut too deep in one year, 2-3 (4?) draftees. Does anyone want a trade? Usure.

Would be nice. Depends whether she'll nominate for the suns. But if not, Centra is a very good choice as well.

I think Frederick has another year.
Not sure we can afford to cut that much as we wont have the draft picks to replace them all.

Watching the presser from the game on the weekend, there was questions asked to Sam about list management and whether we go after big name players in the trade period
Unsure what to make of his answer, as he mentioned focused on rentention and analysing the list first

I'm not sure we can afford to be too involved in trade period. Unless its player for player trades

The Trade Period in December provides an opportunity for the Pies to "aggressively assess" their list.


Wright says his focus is on retaining "talent that we want to retain" and he believes that the Pies can do so, and have the potential to be a destination club despite their season because of their culture and proud history.


"The thing about our group is that they keep turning up, they genuinely just want to play football next week," Wright says.


"We're really happy with our culture, we feel like that's absolutely progressed. We've got a framework we live by and that's being an AFLW Collingwood person. We know that the football side of things will improve."

4. I agree Centea is a very, very good choice and seems to be a ripping kick. Zippy seems to be a good kick too. Who else are good kicks? I personally think we are the worse kicking team in the league, and it's no surprise Hawthorn dramatic improvement happened due to their new coach filming the players and working on their kicking has done wonders.

1. Apart from the #1 pick, it's hard to to say, will have to wait til the finals are finish for that to be determined but probably something like
1, 19, 37, 55 before bids.
2. I do agree we need another ruck at some point. Someone athletic. I'm not sure who is available or in the draft for that, but probably more pressing needs.
3. yeah, she's a suns academy player, and she can nominate them if she wants
4. We definitely need more quality players who can kick, that much is clear, centra would be our next best option if Harris nominates the suns.

I assume some of them but surprised with Brazalle.

Fowler is one of the first to go IMO , not surprised at all, has offered nothing really for 3 years. Well done to her on a decent length career, but doesn't like contact , doesn't compete in the air, games past her.
Coach has made his assessments can't say I disagree with any at this stage.
Let's just hope we can fill those spots with upgrades.

Yeah I imagine it could look much different next year. Younger.
