I dont pretend to know much about Norths list but im trying to work out, aside from obvious bias, what these lists are based on?

From a quick glance and the little i know about North Hansen and Tarrant are yet to have a season compared to Vickery's 2011 season, yet he is not on the list.

Conca is rated at 34 or 33 and atley at 14?? Conca has had stastically superior season last year while have 76% TOG compared to Atley's 92%

Maybe its on future potential but you both Ellis at 38 and 37 yet he is only a little behind atley while playing 68% TOG vs Atley's 92%

Anyway i dont know who has the better list there really hasnt been a lot between both sides for the last 2 years, this season will tell us a lot.

Yes, we at North don't rate everything on stats. Hence why Liam Anthony is not in most North supporters best 22, and why most North fans say that Bastinac's 2012 was his worst year despite getting the most touches of his career.

This is not a comment regarding Conca, just an observation regarding the accumulation of statistics. They are very useful sometimes, but very mis leading in others.

Yet you have Keiran Harper at 20?

Anyway I wasn't talking about potential. Grimes is already one of Richmond's best players. He's certainly better than Morris.
Thats his impact. He plays footy. Grimes hasnt played in 11 months.

if you're rating it on "impact" martins ahead of all north players.
Do you mean impact over a game/season? You'd rate Martin's best so far as better than Swallows? Petrie kicked 7 goals back to back. Pretty good impact. Harvey kicking 3 goals in 3 minutes against the Bombers was pivotal. These 3 have a great impact over the course of a season.

He's played 17 games and is injured again. You can't have him ahead of established good players.

He's not injured. He played on the weekend and will return in round 2. And Harper is not an established good player. He manages 9 touches a game.

He's 5 places above Harper on my list and that's bloody generous because his future has to be in doubt.

The thread has had a clean up, and some cards have been handed out, as per Chism's earlier warning.

If you can't say what you want to say without slinging mud, then don't bother.

Any views being re-visited here in light of recent events?

Yeah, Richmond played terribly on the weekend.

The Tigers midfield is superior, but I have serious doubts abou the tall quality on its list.

North have a nice, even list.

Tigers should play consistent finals for the next four or five years; North are a rung below that.

So Tigers.

Interesting what Nathan Grima said on sen today

"they've got a huge following and we always want to be a step above them because of that" "we challenge ourselves when we play Richmond, you know there's always gonna be a huge crowd"

smasha is right lol

Not really the Tigers still have the better list. Last week was a upset nothing more.

A 62 point upset over a team that we've been regularly beating for a couple of years now?

So? Melbourne were regularly beating us too up until this year. It happens.

The Tigers have the better list; that's why they are sitting in the eight and you are not.

You left out the part where he said because people like to compare the lists they like to stay one step ahead of Richmond

Richmond are in the 8 and will play finals while North will not. That is a upset. Melbourne have a great record over Sydney at the MCG.

Haha. An upset win isn't based on ladder position. It's based on who people think will win. Anyone who knows footy would have had it 50/50 so to call it an upset is incorrect, unless you base your tipping solely from ladder position which is laughable.

Yes. North are a 10 goal better side

Hey forwardflanker, you hear that? Bombers are a 7 goal better side than the Pies.

But we're only a one goal better side than the Blues, and the Lions are two goals better than us.

Sensing a logic fail here?
