Lloyds Banana Kick

During the saints game when lloyd took that mark and went back and tried to banana it through the goals, i could have sworn it curved around the goal post. I was on the 3rd level of the flank there, and I swear it just made it around the goal post. I was up celebrating and then saw it was a behind. Anybody else see this, or have a video of it? I was shocked at the time

It missed. He is shocking at those kicks. He missed a couple against Collingwood as well on ANZAC Day. He should learn from Neagle or Nat Rat.

True, needs to learn from the local U12's footy team, and spend all training kicking bananas from the boundary.

He did kick one out of mid air against the roos in '99? though.

He did the same in the NAB Cup once or twice late on when the game was there to be won.

As i have not seen it could someone tell me this - did he attempt to step out to open it up then try the banana again as he did that twice in an earlier game i think Anzac day and missed both.

Banana kicks are hard enough without moving where you are on the ground in a hurry thus having to re adjust where your aiming etc. Neagle was perfect walk straight aim and let the ball do the work. If a player is stepping out then hook the ball through.

Lloyd is pretty bad at the Banana kicks, but I would rather he tries them then his right foot.

He should swing onto his right....or even just have a normal shot with his left...
