After seeing Campbell Brown's rip snorter on friday night I was trying to remember the best ( legal) shirtfront I ever saw in local footy. Anyone out there have a favourite?

The biggest local shirt front i have ever seen was in the 2003 bellarine grand final between ammos and ocean grove, the hit Heath Mooney done on Damien 'bones' Clark, classic hit, bones was in another world after it, went 2 hospital and came back afta the game to hold up the premiership cup and still was feeling the effects
I was going to say exactly the same thing. Huge hit, perfectly fair as well. You need to hit Bones Clark pretty hard to keep him down, especially in a Grand Final.

that was one of the best hits i saw too, was only a few metres from it, the noise and everything was the best, what a hit that was.
also a young lad jack kronborg from queenscliff running back with the flight, eyes only for the ball, got absolutely cleaned up by that big captain of heads a few years back, dirty it was, had no eyes for the ball. young lad ended up with a broken arm (above the elbow), and was in another world after it, massive hit.

Brett Hungerford's hit on a GWSP player 10 years or so ago under lights at West Oval is as big as I've seen. Hungerford hit him that hard off a 50m run that I think the guy completed a 720 degree rotation before hitting the ground unconscious! Pretty gutsy by the West player as he was going with the flight of the ball but I suppose getting knocked into next week is a price you pay when you have a guy like Hungerford lurking in your area. The noise was as sweet as you'll here. I can't quite remember who the player he hit was, might need some help with that one.
