Has he really been appointed, i heard they had some high profile ex AFL players in the running..

Some guy from Queenscliff is the new St Albans coach. His name slips my mine atm but all I remember being told is he is a short arse

It's Steve Clark apparently Sticko. From my experience seeing him as an oppostion coach and playing against him he is a pretty passionate sort of guy who i think will suit St Albans. Good luck to him.

So will you be staying at St Albans Sticko??

from what I've heard he's bringing players with him, and thats why they've appointed him. They certenly need players thats for sure. It'll be a new look Tiger outfit next year thats for sure.

Has anyone heard any more about former Geelong and Sydney listed player Paul Chambers? Is he still being linked to the GFL since his retirement from the AFL?
He'd be a pretty handy addition to any side you'd have to think.

Are you thinking of having a crack at getting him to East are you Texas!!! they must be throwing some money around that joint..:D :D

Is this the same bloke that coached Q'cliff to 3 wins/15 losses??

Ah thats good. It would be a good start to get a coach who might actually last a little while! Don't know what i'm doing next year to be honest

I think we have a meet the coaches day on the 19th of November so it'll be good to hear what he has to say

We've got some good young players and if we can get a few more good players in the off season I think we can get at least 1 win

Being realistic they really need to get some players asap. I know they are trying to recruit players but its hard to attract good players when the club has got itself into such a big hole.

St Albans beat Newcomb in a practice match last year and even though it was only a practice match I doubt they would have much trouble beating portarlington.

I don't know about the best batch of under 23s though that's been reported in the paper. If my mind serves me correctly we only had blair allan make that interleague squad which was for players around that age

At least one of them will win a premiership...but I reckon it might be the supersaints...

The question must be asked...is Portarlington as bad as St.Leonards at their worst 1985-86 and 91?
Mate i think Port were much improved this year.. They average close to 10 goals a game, they moved the ball with much better stucture and direction, but just lacked that finishing touch that 2 or 3 good players would bring to the side. They've got a couple of cracking young blokes that put in each week and if they can hold on to them get another good coach and a few good players they would be much more competitive:thumbsu:

Just a few movements

Geelong Amateurs have signed South Barwon premiership ruckman Daniel Hermans for next season.

But on the other hand have lost star onballer Jarrod Westwood to St Marys.

Got it from a good sause Hulkster, that Daniel Herman has actualy gone to Moda.

Bucky.. Wondering which company Peter O'Brien works for cos apparently oeys have got a mammoth contract with his company to build multiple houses out in Grovedale area for next year. You said he built your house or something.. just wondering if its true cos I heard that he was going to go to the SANFL next year to assistant coach or something. A bit far fetched I know but its just something I heard... just wondering....

It was me that said his building my house, works for Bluey McGrath Constructions, which obviously is Tim McGrath's company. He hasn't been coming around much of late due to nearly finished but next time I'll ask for you Whispers.
