Hi Ports fans! We've taken over the podcast station by force; Macca19 will be having the night off (late scratching/scratchy throat), and Rick is still being a tourist

So join Portia & Dylan8 tonight! We'll be previewing this weekend's game against Collingwood, discussing the PAFC's first AFL game in 1997 as part of the 20th season celebration and our narrow win over Collingwood in 2015, reviewing Dimitri "Jimmy" Toumpas' season as part of Fringe Force Five, and answering your questions, either here or live in the Spreaker chat forum.

If you've got any memories of the first AFL game you'd like to share, post them here or share them in the Spreaker chat forum. Oh, and ask any questions you want covered too!

So Rick and Macca have been eliminated.....take care Dylan.......
This is fast becoming the Portia Preview Podcast.
Don't worry, just when Rick & Macca think they're out, we'll pull them back in

In recent weeks we've Moved the ball much quicker and been able to generate a lot more run from our Backline. Whilst hombsch, jonas, Trengove,Stewart and Carlisle are solid defensively they don't offer much going forward.
How many of those guys can we can we afford to keep in the back six. Or to
Put in another way what is the mix we should have down back. Ie two solid defenders and four runners.

I wouldn't call my worst enemy ROWE and Bicklsley.

Btw can someone please swear tonight?

Something particularly offensive would be nice.

The 1997 Collingwood game would be easily the biggest loss that I've ever bothered to watch a recording of the next day. In spite of the result it was just such a privilege to see us there on the big stage... finally.

As much as I like Portia and (tolerate) Dylan, Rake is on at 8.30. I'll listen to your inane ramblings for half an hour. :thumbsu:

Serious question now - has there been a genuine turnaround in form for the team in the last five weeks, or have we just gotten lucky and merely wallpapered over some of our cracks?

Interested to hear the last time we met segment tonight - last year's game against Collingwood was one of the best games I've ever watched and was a very special night. Will never forget those images of Ollie post game.
