Looks a very straight forward tipping round this week.

Hawks, Port, Crows should all be locks.
Carlton v Collingwood = massive rivalry and Blues could get up for it
BL v Sydney = No Buddy, Brisbane's good record at the Gabba
Ess v WB = Bulldogs love Etihad, Dons in average form
North v GC = If North aren't switched on, maybe GC could cause an upset but unlikely.
Geel v Rich = Tigers can't keep losing too many more. Key ins with Rance and Deledio will help
WCE v Freo = Derby. Enough said

More like 6-3 as I can't see them beating a quality side in North.
So after round 10, Gold Coast will likely be in the top 6 by virtue of only beating rubbish sides.
Yep. Likely to finish immediately outside the 8 purely by beating sides that we should.

Only possible upsets for this week are West Coast and the Bulldogs. If the Eagles can produce a fired up Derby effort ( which is what will be needed ) they have a chance. Of course if Freo do likewise they will win on class alone. Essendon just cannot afford another loss like the StKilda debacle. Given the terrible state of the Bulldog defence at present the likes of Carlisle will never have a better opportunity to find some form. The other seven faves are clearly better teams then their weekend opponents and will win decisively.

Have a feeling about Brisbane this round since they produce a few upsets at the Gabba. Though we have them there later this year, so they'll probably save it for then.

I'm on top in my work tipping comp, no need to take chances, I'll let the mugs do that and they'll Fall further behind. :)

The only easy game to pick is Collingwood smashing the Blues that's about it.

Aren't you the poster who was posting on the WC Eagles board before the game last week telling them we would get 'killed', it's a 'no-contest' and you were certain they'd beat us by 80 or 100 points?

Keep that optimism up!

For me the results are not so clear cut -

St Kilda could very well surprise many and beat Hawthorn.
GWS could beat Port Adelaide after their massive win against Geelong last week, they might not play like champions the following week.
You don't know which version of Sydney will show up against Brisbane. A Buddy-less Sydney should be BETTER than just good enough to win.
West Coast vs Fremantle - you would assume Freo.... but WCE might cause an upset.
Kangaroos vs GCS is another "depends which version of the teams show up" I hope GCS win
Agree with others that Western Bulldogs vs Essendon is the 50/50 contest that nobody can be certain who will win. Essendon might play to lose ?

I tell myself this every other week, but lo and behold; I'm still barely getting half my tips right.

Facts can do that.
We're only missing Our preferred 2 key defenders in Reid and Brown, and Maxwell, and Fasolo, and Young, and Toovey, and Sinclair, shit, that's our entire back line.

Not to mention our 2 top 10 draft picks from last year.

There will be a f***ton of free whoppers for all of those who tipped 9/9 for the week. It's a cakewalk, this round.

Brown is available hes just no good.

Carlton are missing 4 of their best 6. Plus their two best negating mids and ball winners in Curnow and Carrazo.
